As a recently respecced resto druid who's looking at healing heroics and raids, while at the same time doing some solo farming on a PvP server (since I dont want to mooch off my friends, but still want to be resto) I'm currently sitting at 1046 +heal, 115 mp/5, 398 spirit, 7.6k mana, and 307 +spell damage unbuffed.
Armory
19/0/42 spec
(I included both my stats & spec, and the armory, because armory is down 3/4 of the time).

Yes, I know I have a few greens I need to upgrade, and a few enchants I need to get, but I'm wondering how well you think I'd be able to heal with those stats and that spec in heroics, and in each of the T4 raids.

Also, any suggestions as to how to improve myself (be it spec changes - keeping in line with what I need, easy-to-obtain gear, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Based on the numbers (yes, armory seems to be down), I'd say you're ready to start Kara and some of the easier heroics... Ramps, SP, UB, Mech. If you know the group is solid, you can probably be a little more daring than that.

The resto part of my spec is near identical to yours and I've had lots of luck with it. The only difference is that I chose natural shapeshifter. If I see something coming at me in Raid/Heroic, i usually have time for a green swirly and shift to Bear. In a regular instance I will just heal through it, but in Raid/Heroic, the armor difference can make the difference between a 1-shot and a tank pick-up. Granted, its not something you want to happen often, but when it does, its nice to save the mana. The same applies if you need to shift out for NS+HT and want to shift back.

Armory is back up.

It looks like your no stranger to Kara. :)

I'd say keep farming it until you get the legs from Opera, the boots from Chess and the Stoneborogh Jerkin chest piece (i forgot which one drops that). Other good leg options are the badge reward or the Pants of Living growth that you can pick up at the AH. The latter is generally overpriced, but if you can pick it up for under 300g, I think its worth it.

Maiden and Prince both drop nice healing maces. You can also buy one from the Shattar vender once you get exalted (though the drops are nicer). You can get a suitable offhand from CE Quartermaster at exalted, or, again, pick up the badge reward.

If you want to go cloth, there is a healing shoulder drop from Curator (90%sure on that one) or get the BoJ reward with the glowing skulls.

I was feral DPS in kara, but our guild already has a feral druid who's way better geared than me, so I'm switching to resto (which we have none of).

I was in a similar situation.

After a while, I tried speccing back for DPS but missed the mega-powered-you-can-try-but-never-kill-me green swirly.

With the +dmg to healing gear in 2.3, I fully embraced my inner forest. ;)

I just went from Feral to Resto too, although I had more stuff from Kara to help me out, plus I had 375 LW for the tribal set. After Monday, I think I'm sitting at around 1600ish +healing, around 8800 mana, and 125 mp/5 casting. I'd say you're geared enough for the first half of Kara in a 3-healer raid, the easier heroics with an over-geared tank, and any non-heroic. There are some nice things you can get from Revered/Exalted rep, and some 70 blues to replace your greens/low-level blues out of 70 instances. You could also take up LW and look for some BoP epics.

A couple things I would be looking for are (in no particular order):

healing mace from Sha'tar (Exalted)
healing off-hand from CE (Exalted)
Lower City Prayerbook from LC (Revered)
Hood of Primal Life (BoE LW)

Just did heroic UB, first tank we had was absolutely attrocious (if I healed him I'd get aggro) but when we got a tank that could generate the TPS to keep threat off me it went great. I'm still learning, thus I made the following mistakes:

1. Spamming swiftmend. Thought it was lifebloom (still getting used to button placement, my first time healing)
2. Innervating the warrior

Hmmm....I was pretty sure they made it so you couldn't innervate a non-mana user. I know I used to innervate the tank all the time in ZG & MC :(

I used your build for a while, it was.. not so bad when farming. But I decided to go full Resto when I started to do some heroics.

Having a better Healing Touch is kinda nice and can save lots of life. NS + Healing Touch, when that crits for around 8000-9000, its quite nice ;)

I started healing heroics at 1300 only, I was not feeling confident before that. I am now sitting at 1400 (missing lots of gems) and no heroics make me worried. We usually do guild group and the tanks are good, I never pulled aggro even on a 3-4 pull.

Since I need more gems / enchants, I have only 8900mana, but I have nearly 180mana per 5 seconds while casting. I hardly drink in instance/kara. When doing Kara, we are doing it with 3 healers, I'm usually the last healer to go oom.. and even then, I innervate and I get almost full mana back! =)

If you have 2 other good healer in Kara, you shoul be fine for a full clear at 1000 healing and having the chance to get some nice drops to boost that a little :)

I think what will also help me in kara is the 2 healers are a Imp DS priest and a holy pally with imp BoW. So I pretty much get an extra +46 healing and +57 mp/5 between the 2 buffs.
