1st off, I promise I read the "Mut Gets Buffed" thread, I just had a slightly different question.

So I gots me a Malchezeen and a Blade of the Unrequited the other day. Ive been ShS since 2.3 and its been ok, I just want to try something a little different. Heres mah armory

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Magtheridon&n=Discostew

yes I know I have daggers equipped in a ShS hemo build (massive fail, i was playing around ambushing peoples) and I know my belt is unsocketed (I just got it last night and am waiting on my JC friend to cut me AP gems, the AH is too xpensive, gtfo!).
I also feel the need to qualify my arena teams to avoid embarassment here at this point, the 3v3 was epic fail when we were trying to squeeze out points last week, and I just joined the 2v2, trying out rogue/fmage combo.

KK now the actual question(s).
Should I wait till I get my s3 pants in 2 wks or so, to get the xtra 10 energy before I got mutilate?

Is not being ShS going to be terrible in arenas (rogue/fmage 2v2, and were about to start running rogue/warr/druid kinda srs in 3's)?

Is there any possible occasion where ambushing doesnt make me a nub (I do so enjoy ambushing)?

Is serrated blades worth taking in the sub tree at the expense of points in assassination (especially with the 3 more points being pulled there in 2.4)?

ambush is terrible in the arena.

Most people speccing mut are going 49+ pts in assass for the poison talents, as opposed to 20 pts in sub for serrated blades. The "classic" mut/sub build has 3/3 serrated blades.

Thats all I got. I'm nubber than you.

As a law student, I appreciate when someone answers a question concisely and accurately, so ty demea. I kinda realized I asked an incomplete question set. I suppose in my head there was a last, implied question of:

Any advice for being muti in arenas?

Im not too concerned about BG's as they are more fun as muti than ShS, and I think I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing there.

Yes this is a thinly veiled /bump....what?

Mut can work with frost mages in arena.

It's all about setting up shatter combos with Imp KS.

If you ever plan to PvE, please please please replace the gems in your belt and legs.

I don't know much about arena, so I wont address that. You can go ambush things in solo PvE. Its fun, do it. Maybe even normal mode instances, those are generally easy enough to go with fun builds to pounce things.

For PvP, ambush isn't going to do much, people usually stack resilience, which eats things like ambush.
