heres my armory, http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Alleria&n=Altha

i just got the S3 axe this morning to replace my legacy with a +35 agi enchant, and now i notice my AP is down to 1696, and agi down to 453, now what enchant should i get my axe, more agi or more AP. any other advice on how my gear is would be appreciated too.

Your hit is way too low at +53. That needs to come up closer to +140 for level 73 bosses.

Also look at Aethien's gear list, stickied at the top of the forum for gear suggestions.

I suggest +35 agility to that shiny new axe.

Agility for the enchant, AP is over rated in end-game content as far as Hunters go, Agility helps you out much much more. As strange as it might sound, don't look at your stats from a personal perspective, look at them from a raid perspective and don't ever look at them with no buffs, it's pointless imo, nobody in the raid cares what you can do WITHOUT the raid buffs since no raid in their right mind would ever do anything unbuffed.

However, we do have stat goals based around the fact that we will always be raid buffed in a raid situation, looking at Aethiens Pre-Raid gear list has a little cheat sheet at the bottom giving those values. Try to match them as well as you can and you should be fine.

Legacy is fairly comparable to S3 (or so some say, I never saw Legacy drop myself), so don't feel as if you have to choose one over the other. It's good to have options.

I'd actually stay with Legacy for PvE, and have the S3 for PvP.

Really? lets compare

So the S3 has -28 AP, +1.08% crit, +.95% hit, ignore 98 armor (around 10-15 AP eqv)

so in essence S3 loses 15AP and gains 2% dps. It's not even close. SV hunters will choose the legacy, but everyone else should go with the waraxe. 8Mp5 isn't that big a difference. Add in the extra stam (good, needed for some encounters) and the resilience, and it's even more convincing.
