Level two priests simultaneously???Follow

#1 Feb 25 2008 at 3:48 PM Rating: Decent
Now if this sounds crazy, hear me out:

I started a human priest, leveled her to 13, decided I sucked and quit. I have quickly leveled an undead shadow priest to 29, and have stopped leveling (despite great success grinding using advice posted here) in order to run BGs and get some PvP rewards before continuing.

Sometimes, it can be difficult getting BGs together, and because I enjoy playing a priest so much (especially running instances), would it be a bad idea to use one priest from each faction and level them, depending on the number of players playing at the time?

For example, if my 29 can't wait 19 minutes for the next BG, switch over to my 13 and (now that I know what I'm doing) continue leveling her.

Play whatever you want whenever you want. There's no problem at all with it.

This way I could use two different builds. Shadow for undead and a hybrid for the human (disc/holy).

Check my sig, 2 priests, same server, same faction, same guild. Until two days ago, one was CoH spec and the other was IDS specced. Both of them specialized in PMC. I don't think I'm the first, nor you being the last. If you like leveling 2 priests, do it.

Agreed. I currently play 2 Priests, a 50 Human and a 24 Undead. Both Shadow, both a hell of a lot of fun to play. If i run into a dead end on one character, I switch to the other. By the time I get back to the one I was playing previously, i've most likely figured out what to do. Cuts down on frustration levels and just makes the gameplay so much more fun, so why not play 2 at one time? I kinda like the similarities but there are definate differences between the 2 characters. The only thing that sucks is, them both being on different sides of the factions, I can't gear up the lower one with stuff from my 50, so it actually forces me to not twink, which in my opinion, is good. So, all in all...have fun do what ya want! play both and see ya in the BG.....

Forgive my noobishness, but what is CoH, IDS and PMC?

I'm keeping the undead shadow, and because the human is only level 9, I'm still researching whether or not I'm going to go Holy/Disc or just Holy. I do know, though, that killing mobs is MUCH easier now that I know what I'm doing!!!

CoH is Circle or Healing, it's the 41 point talent in the holy tree. IDS is Improved Divine Spirit, which you can spec into after putting 21 points into the Disc tree and you must take Divine Spirit. PMC is Primal Mooncloth. If you have tailoring as one of your professions and decide to heal at 70, it's for you. You can make the Primal Mooncloth Set ([wowitem=21873]Primal Mooncloth Belt[/wowitem], [wowitem=21874]Primal Mooncloth Shoulders[/wowitem], and [wowitem=21875]Primal Mooncloth Robe[/wowitem])and it will last until T5 context.

If you want to level your human priest as holy or holy/disc, I would still suggest putting 5 points into Spirit Tap in the Shadow tree. It makes soloing so much easier due to the talent doubling your spirit for the next 15 seconds after a kill that gives you xp or honor. Good luck.

Will do. I have it on my undead, and it is GREAT for soloing.

I'll probably go to 34 as:

- 5/5 Spirit Tap
- 5/5 Wand Spec
- 2/2 Improved Power Word: Fortitude
- 3/3 Improved Power Word: Shield
- 2/2 Healing Focus
- 3/3 Improved Renew
- 5/5 Holy Specialization

If you can find a good twink guild/community, you can always let one sit at an X9 level and keep spending your marks/honor on gear that will last all the way to OLs maybe?(question mark is because I'm sure you'll have more than enough marks, just worried about the high honor costs)

I'd recommend 29 or 39 BGs though(but I'm not quite sure which level shadow priests really shine at, sorry), as 19s really are a joke and class imbalances are the absolute WORST at that level.

If you do decide to twink and want to experience what it's all about, go check out your BG's forums on the official site. You'll be able to talk to other twinks, learn about gear upgrades(which is good, even if you don't twink), and maybe even get on vent with the rest of us to co-ordinate premades vs premades.

Good luck!
