I was running ZF and got both pieces to this nice Epic 2hand sword

With my current spec it would be pointless to have my Dual wield specialization as I won't be Dual Wielding anytime soon.

So I was thinking of changing my spec to something more like this Fury build but I was also thinking of going into arms to look something like this Arms/fury

What do you guys think? Mind you I am trying to take the most advantage of this very nice sword.

Thank you for your advice.

*Edit* changed the title to be more specific and made a few modifications to the Arms based build.

Go for the arms build... you won't do much damage with a weapon faster than 3.0 with a Slam build.

Get to level 51, win an AV and respec 2h fury with IBS. Don't take that sword because of its colour, IBS owns it.

the only problem with trying to get IBS is the fact that in my battlegroup it is very hard to get a group that wins AV for the Alliance.

So much so that I stopped farming honor for my S1 gear on my main.

Thanks for the info

In all honesty, with the risk to disappoint you on a new epic, that really is far from an optimal weapon for a warrior. Much better suitable for a paladin I reckon (but then again, I've never played on past level... like 20).

Go with the flow: Go Slow.

I know I will be replacing it soon. The lack of stats is the thing that I see as a problem. I prolly will give AV a shot before I hit 58 and give AV a shot.

Thanks for the help.

I'm posting here because I have almost the exact same question and I don't want to re-start a thread.

sry OP... I hope you don't mind me using your title, as it is pretty much perfect for me.

Armory Link

This "was" a toon I was twinking for the 49 bracket. After awhile I got bored with the same'ol BGs, so he went into retirement. A few months later... my wife & I decided to dust off our 49s and start leveling to 70.

As you can see it's pretty much a PVP spec and could use some adjusting for the world content. Before respec'ing we decided to give our dusty toons a trial run to get a good feel for what to spec into. I've read a lot about leveling a 2hd Fury, or 2hd Arms warrior as being the most enjoyable. Well, after the trial run I think because I'm not solo this may not be the best experience.

With my wife as a feral druid, we kill very fast. So fast actually, that all I really do for a normal fight is:

Charge > White damage > MS > HS > stand there looking tough until my wife kills it because my swing timer is a bit long.

When we examined Damage Meters after our short few-hour run, we were neck-n-neck. Now to a feral druid, and me not being very good at Arms anymore, this may not be "too" bad, but I am well past her in gear. She's never twinked her toon & only has decent AH/Quest gear without enchants. IMO, I should have spanked her on Damage Meters.

Now, nothing agents 2hd Fury, or 2hd anything... I loved it for PVP and solo it is very nice getting chain crits on MS/HS, but I would like to spec into a good DW Fury build. Most of the Fury builds split trees.. which makes a TON of sense (Deep Wounds + Impale = yes plz!), but would it be best to go straight for Rampage? Or just go as far as BT and head down Arms again? OR get Impale then head down Fury?

Any advice would be awesome!

Pretty awful for a Paladin as well. Ret Pallys pretty much want the exact same weapons a Warrior does.

There's a time and a place for everything...

If you insist...

2h fury is much more efficient, unless you can afford dual crusader with every weapon swap.

Your goal should be this.

You can easily see that some of the talents are just fillers, to get you to the next tier, and you can move them around any way you want. I chose this way because you won't have to respec for raid DPS if you head with this build.

The "Go rampage or woot?!" question is pretty much answered by the build, but just to clarify: Rampage is an awesome increase to your DPS. Even better than Sword spec is. So yes, only go up to Impale in the arms tree, but get Rampage first.
