If you have to rely on 2% health regen every 10 seconds to survive, you probably aren't going to be walking away from the fight anyway. It's a wasted talent unless your sole purpose is to solo quest/ grind.

In groups and raids, you have healers to top you off if you get hit, and your purpose is to DPS and trap, Spirit Bond helps neither of those. Go with something else. Animal Handler is a much better choice.

If you are a strict PvE grinder... then it is ok.

I mean if you get for like 100 here and there for every other fight then it will keep you topped off without eveer stopping to eat... (However) It is not something to depend on. At lower levels it is (OK) but never optimal.

basically it comes down to, do you really want that little extra health every 10 seconds or do you want something worth more? If you like the little health deal take it... May help... most likely doesn't matter.

I personally specced away from it because it really doesn't help much anymore.

Fixed.

Should you be taking damage while soloing?
- No.

And for the 2% healing for the pet; There's a better alternative. It's called 'Mend Pet'.

Your choice is (often) either Animal Handler vs. Spirit Bond, or Focused Fire vs. Spirit Bond. Either way SB looses.

No that didn't fix it. The fact of the matter is... even if your not suppose to be getting hit. you will get hit every once in a while.

IT DOES help, but very little.

truth of it being you get hit from mobs with charge that randomly intercept you for no reason.

from AoE mobs.

From those that put a curse that causes damage on their 2nd highest aggro and from the ocasional kite.

So I said it correctly. Just need to look at more than the very narrow, ( I am never suppose to be hit) box that so many people look at and they never look at the bigger picture... (No matter how many times I do this... I will still get hit at least 1 or 2 times. whether it be respawns or an add on your pet while mend pet is ticking and you just used your trap. Possibilities are endless.)

And I have had spirit bond save my tail. so I wouldnt completely rull it out. but as a rule of thumb... its not worth the 2 points that you throw into it.

Yes, it helps. Speccing Endless Rage as a warrior helps. Infact, speccing both Mace and Axe spec helps. All talents help, it's sort of what they're there for. What you have to do when you get more experienced, is sort out the more useful ones from the less useful ones. SB = Very very very little use.

Which will leave you with a dent not even 1% of your HP, which you will regenerate the next time you're out of combat anyway.

Unless you're standing next to your pet while soloing, I don't see you getting hit by AoE anytime soon.

Oh right... Those...

You stated your opinion. You can't help that it's not as relevant as mine, that's something people just have to deal with (ask Synn). SB, as it is now, is only slightly more useful than Imp. AotM. It will remain that way unless it gets a boost or we mysteriously start sharing damage taken with our pets.

SB is kinda like Cower in that I can't think of a single reason to train it, yet for reasons I can't fathom, some other hunters swear by it.

Only time I have found it a godsend was when I was in Stratholme with a fellow lvl 70 hunter and got hit with that horrible 10 min desease that stops health regen and hits you for 150 every x seconds, due to spirit bond I was able to top my helth of by using bandages and food and spirit bond counteracted the loss I recieved. I have since respecced out of spirit bond and can see anywhere bewteen 100-200 dps worth of difference from respeccing to very similar to the cookie cutter build for BM/MM on these boards (I was 51/10/0 before now 41/20/0).

It's kinda crap, not good enough to warrant the points.

I'm surprised by the amount of BM hunters I see with it, I think they choose it because it sounds tangible.

I had spirit bond for a long long time and when i finally decided to respec i never even noticed the loss but i gained a lot of firepower for those two points.

so do you want a tiny health boost or a decent amount of extra damage , the choice is yours.
