Do we really need expertise on raids?Follow

#1 Feb 25 2008 at 12:49 PM Rating: Good
Maybe is stupid question but:

I almast always attack mobs/bosses from behind so they cannot parry or dodge, right?

I very often look on shadowpanther.net website and in PVE armor chart, grips of deftness are better then netherblade gloves(which I currently have)but only because they add expertise-so if expertise is useless for people atacking from behind having equipment and skills improving expertise is pointless?

What is your opinion?

NPCs can dodge when you attack from behind, they just can't parry. Other players can't do either with attacks from behind.

So mobs lvl 70 have 5% dodge chance from behind and bosses lvl 72 11%?

Bosses are level 73, and have a 5.3% chance to dodge I believe. 22 expertise means you never get dodged again. It's pretty easy to hit that with early SSC/TK gear. Will be even easier with Sunwell gear. Going to be really sexy when you go so far above the cap that you can drop points out of weapon expertise and get another point into Vile Poisons.

It's 5.6, actually, and it rounds to the closest .25% (skill comes in integers). 87 rating is the "soft"-cap (next point won't do full benefit), 91 is the "hard"-cap... of course WE drops these numbers somewhat.
