#1 Feb 25 2008 at 3:07 AM Rating: Decent
I will be getting the Azure-Shield of Coldarra (as soon as the last 3 badges drop tonight). What should i go for - Mithril Shield Spike or +18 Stam?

With the new shield i will have approx 12300 Health & 14600 armor (unbuffed)

stamina definitly, the very small damage output from spikes serves close to no purpose unless you are AOE grinding as a pally.

your hp is low, so i think the sta is more priority.

the shield spike is the best threat enchant for shields though, and if your looking for more tps go with the shield spike. better than the block value enchant for threat.

with shield block up all the time, you'll block a lot of incoming attacks. And it IS a valuable addition to a threat set.

This. I have a petrified lichen guard with a spike slapped on it that I use for AoE farming, and then tanking regular 5 mans and AoE pulls in content where putting on such a crappy shield isn't going to kill me. It puts out a pretty good amount of extra threat on said pulls.
