affliction and levelingFollow

I like the power that a full lvl 70 affliction build can do, and the massive DPS that a well geared, even well geared pre kara affliction lock can do, but what about lvling as affliction. I know that many people have done it without to much hassle, but I am a little leary that if I spec out of demo and lose my good friend felguard that it'll be a little harder to solo some of the elite quests that i can do with felguard now.

I was thinking of doing this build if I went with affliction, essentially the cookie cutter build that many new raiders will use.

I might change it a little to put 2 points into howl of terror if I decide to do much pvp, but at this point I think I'll just stay PVE and hit the PVP stuff on hunter/rogue

Thats a decent built, just a few things I'd like to say. Grim reach is very helpful as well as Malediction if no other warlock in your guild has it. I have Amplifiy Curse and Curse of Exhaustion and Imp Howl of Terror. Amp. Curse isnt that great, so its pretty much a prereq to CoEx which I use mainly in PVP. Imp HoT is also PVP. Most warlocks I see either pick Imp HS or Imp Imp, again you have to coordinate with other warlocks in your guild.

Also, demonic sacrifice is very good, if you sacrifice the succubus you get a 15% damage increase which is pretty much 15% more damage.

Specced like that, yeah, I can see you having problems leveling as Affliction. However, IMO, Affliction is the best leveling spec.

First of all, you took 5/5 Suppression, complete waste. You took Imp CoA, another waste(the 10% is added before any other bonus damage). No Amp Curse or CoE for kiting tougher Elites? 1/5 Shadow Embrace for teh extra Affliction effect to improve your Drain Life through Soul Siphon? Kinda questionable really, but no IHoT for getting away in an emergency?

here ya go, fixed it for you, though as I said, the points in IHoT are up to you, though if you do any BGs or are on a PvP server I would definitely take it.

If your +Hit is really lacking, you could drop either Imp Imp or Imp HS,as the above poster said, you usually pick one or the other, and maybe even Shadowburn to put a couple points there, but 5/5 is too much. You could alsodrop IHoT for points there if you really need them.

Edit: forgot to put link in there, lol.
