i just crafted furious gizmatic goggles for myself also, and have the +3% increased crit damage meta gem in the meta slot. i lost maybe 8-12 str from being forced to put 4 str/crit or stam gems in other slots to fulfill the meta gem requirement (the more expensive epic versions of those gems were also unavailable). i put my numbers into maxdps.com constantly, and everytime i see the gear upgrade list i cringe. short of a few badge gear pieces, the vindicator neck and ring, and some expensive craftables (RBoB, vengeance wrap), there isn't much i can upgrade without farming ssc/tk or going extensively into arena for s3 gear. due mostly to RL and to a much lesser extent guild issues, i can't/won't raid more often than once or twice a month. going into arena kinda puts me off since i actually want to win, but from the list of upgrades it seems like s3 gear is the best way to go.

tell me i'm missing something obvious. i feel kinda lost... pretty much all i do now is farm primal mana to pay for skilling up engineering and eventually to buy a RBoB and vengeance wrap.

Just wait for 2.4. There are some pretty sick new DPS plate pieces available in the new 5-man as well as the new badge gear. You should be able to find some nice upgrades there.

Agreed there .. the chest from Kael'thas (heroic) is probably better than the T5 chest (that Kael drops in the Eye) ... how wierd is that !!!
