That's the message I got when I tried to use Life Tap after being resurrected by a Shaman in Sethekk Halls.

Anyone know if there's a minimum health requirement tied to Life Tap? I realize we can't Tap to death, but I had more than enough health.

Seems like an internal bug, guess they are fiddling around with it, since
improved life tap doesn´t seem to affect life taping on test servers.

Wow. I haven't seen that word used in conjunction with spells since EQ. Weird.

Hmm did you remember to take you spell dmg into account?

LT is affected by spell damage. shammy res gives you like 800 hp at most, basically if you have anything more than say 700+dmg, max rank lifetap will "fizzle". also that term has been in wow for years. always says it whenever you don't have enough hp to LT.
i'd reconmend having multiple ranks on your action bar. i've got 1,4 and max on mine. 'tis useful for quickly buffing/summoning pets after being ressed without requiring a heal/reccing first.

Really Jenova? That's awesome. I want to try and find more spells now that contain that message. I played a caster on EQ, and I remember the most annoying part of leveling being spending 20 minutes afterwards just leveling up your different schools of casting because higher levels spells required higher levels of skill, and would commonly fizzle when you first got them.

Level 52 Wizard trying to summon a Familiar with 5 Points in Evocation, anyone?

Haha...

Back when leveling casting skills used to take multiple gaming sessions o.O

Ah, nostalgia. Man, I don't miss EQ at all.

Warriors can have Bloodrage Fizzle as well... I'd also imagine you could fizzle the pet heal, the name of which escapes me at the moment. WoW doesn't seem to have a mechanic to prevent you from casting spells that require HP instead of mana until after the fact, hence the fizzles.

Ah, must've been the spell damage I forgot to add.

Have never seen 'Fizzled' before, though. Three years of semi-dedicated playing and I haven't. Always imagined it would say something along the lines of 'Unable to do that right now' or 'Not enough health'.
