I want to spec my warrior for PvP, but not sure which talents and which weapons... Maces, axes, or swords? I've heard swords are amazing when you have good gear, and maces stunlock...I also know that one talent builds uses dual wielding or something.....so my question is what should I spec, maces, axes or swords, and, which talent build is good for tearing people apart :)

Thanks

Aaw look what you made me do! Look, now I hate you! Now I hate you for being lazy! God damn you!!!

Check the FAQ for builds, and additional information about talents.

Pretty broad question, lots of answers here on alla and on the web, but generally . . .

33/28 and 33/25/3 are probably the two most common builds. 33 in arms to get mortal strike and second wind; 28 in fury to get 3/5 in flurry; or trade 3/5 flurry for 3/3 tactical mastery in protection. These builds are designed to maximize burst damage with a slow, two-handed weapon.

Axe spec (+crit with axes and polearms) is good for fresh 70 warriors without great gear for the boost in crit.

Once you have better gear, swords (chance of double swing) and maces (chance for stun) are better (to me) for pvp because resilience reduces the effectiveness of crits.

You can use a mace or sword as a fresh 70, but it kinda blows to run around with 19-20% crit and low attack power even wielding a smokin' weapon.

I also recommend checking the wow armory; you can browse the top arena teams and scope out their warriors' talent specs, weapons, and other gear.

I was sword spec for the longest time. Went mace spec last week and I am doing MUCH better at pvp. It's truly a world of difference.

I vote for mace spec way over sword spec. If you do go sword spec, make sure you are using the arena weapon and not Lionheart BS line of swords. The Lionheart line is seriously gimped for pvp.

What about the PvP warriors that use dual wielding?

Dual wielders in BGs are, for the most part, there just to get honor/epics.

Players don't stay still long enough, usually, for dual wielders to pwn them.

Burst rules pvp. That means an impressive, single 2h wep.

Dual wielders, in general, rule pve (for dps).

so how do u ppl rate 3/5 flurry vs TM?

Without flurry my 3.8 mace seems quite slow and not rather rage efficient. But after I went 3/5 I hardly ever use spell reflection or disarm, which r good skills.

What r your take on it?

and what bout 5/5 flurry and no 2nd wind?

Oh and another question: have any1 any experiences with taking imp MS and endlesss rage for pvp? I havent tried it yet. I know ppl say endless rage its crap but improved MS makes u able to pop Ms 17% faster an hit 5% harder. And endless rage should make u have rage to always be able to pop MS and must other abilities I guess. Doesnt sound to bad to me.

That's pretty much it. In general, you don't stance dance enough for TM to be better than Flurry.

If you find you have too much rage and health generation in PvP (...), sure!

You're on the right track then.

Yes 2nd wind gives u more rage, but so does faster weap speed. So its more like dmg vs health generation.

I was fury through leveling and up until I got Gorehowl early on. Then went to 2hnd and 33/28 build. Fury takes a mush more mobile fighting stile and mindset, as in you're there almost as a support role in the big BG pile ups.
Arms/2hnd has been much better over all, both in effectiveness and fun. I have axe spec and have either a 30.95 or 33.95% crit rate depending on stance.

Of course I've been out of the pvp seen for a few months now and have been raiding.(current armory build is for farming while im on 'vacation')
