I just started to tank kara last night. I only got to maiden cause we had all but 1 melee, but I was wondering if what I have is good enough. I know I have blues, but what I want to know is if I have focused on all the essentials and met the minimums. Also, dw about my spec. It was on a whim, and I didn't do it right. I tanked attumen and midnight together though, which was kinda wierd, but when he spawned, he walked through my consecration and the ot couldnt pull him off, so I just tanked the whole fight.
Also, a question...what is THE macro? I have heard there are 2 different ones. Whats are they and what is the difference?

The title said another check my armory thread...I don't know how much more obvious it could have been. If you're tired of these types of posts, why not ignore them?

As far as I can tell, you only have 85.78% avoidance, which means your healers probably had to work harder or far outclassed the instance to heal you up. You're virtually unprotected from crushing blows, so you need to get those avoidance stats up.
If you plan on MTing or OTing kara permanently, then you might want to check out my specs in the FAQ, because there's a couple problems with the one you have. Namely Anticipation and Imp.SotC not being maxed out.

I read the sticky. I thought you needed 5/5 in avoidance and 490 defense and you would be uncrittable with holy shield up. I had 5/5 in avoidance and have 510 defense. I'll check in game, as sometimes the armory is misleading.

That is uncritable but that's only part of the equation for kara/raiding. You also need to be immune to crushing blows (or at least for god's sake CLOSE). That immunity comes from 102.4% avoidance.
At 80-something% you have quite a ways to go.
Take a look at my pally for some gear ideas. my stuff is basically pre kara, in that i havent got a drop from kara yet...
I have the def and avoidance requirements. you can get a different ring than violet signet, i got the one from regular arc.

I didn't watch my combat log like a hawk, but I never noticed getting any crushing blows. Did I just get lucky, or do some of the bosses in kara not crush?
All mobs with a skull for their level can crush you. You probably ate crushing blows and didn't notice it because you were watching your cooldowns and your healers didn't feel like reporting it to you. It's extremely unlikely that with your current avoidance stats you were able to avoid crushing blows through your entire Kara run.
Unless you didnt take hits from a boss (Skulls, as Jack mentioned)..... If you had someone else tanking them, that would explain it.

Well, I got the watch off moroes tonight, and have nearly enough badges to get the tanking libram.
