2.4 enh shamanFollow

#1 Feb 22 2008 at 3:14 PM Rating: Decent
I just read on wowinsider.com that "apparently" blizzard is looking into making enh shaman more viable in arena for 2v2. However there is not that much information given on what changes there looking into besides the mechanics of totems. I was just curious if anyone actually has any information on whats actually in store for us.

The only thing Blizzard has done pertaining to Enhancement Shaman at all this patch is made Ghost Wolf potentially instant if you put 2/2 in Improved Ghost Wolf. However, much like the 30% dispell resist on Healing Grace, it is more of a band-aid than an actual solution.

With an instant-cast Ghost Wolf, all Shaman (not just Resto) are potentially much more mobile, but only before you begin to actually factor in our opponents. Unlike Druids' shapeshifts, Ghost Wolf does not break any movement-impairing effects, meaning we are still at the mercy of Entangling Roots, Frost Nova, etc.

Furthermore, the only snare in the game we're capable of removing without help is Crippling Poison, so with Hamstring, Frost Trap, or any other snare on us, we're only going to be moving at 100% speed or slightly under it. In order to gain any kind of mobility advantage against snares, you will first have to apply your own snare (Frost Shock) to an opponent before you shift into Ghost Wolf.

A lot of people seem to be really excited about this change, but as you can see, I'm really not that impressed. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
