Rolling a druid on a PVP serverFollow

#1 Feb 21 2008 at 1:52 PM Rating: Good
I'm considering different classes to roll on a PVP server but hadn't really thought about a Druid till now. Rogues seem cool, can stealth. Hunters can track and move fast, have pet. I'm mostly interested in world PVP. Surviving being jumped and being able to jump others. Then I read some Druid posts here. Cat form, stealth. Travel form, escape fast. Root your enemies. In your animal forms can a Hunter track you? I also like technical classes and Druid seems to be one of them.

Awesome, everthing you listed can basically be covered by a druid! Have fun!

I bid you good luck.

Yes, but you count as a Beast so they need to be using Track Beasts instead of Track Humanoids. And I believe Tree of Life form counts as an Elemental.

If tree's are classed as elementals for hunter tracking and can be banished by locks, are they immune to bleeds like elementals as well????

Also, in stealth mode hunters must use track hidden to find you!

Not all elementals are immune to bleed....really only the rock ones I think.

Rock elementals are also immune to nature spells

After playing many years on a PvE server, a RL friend and I rolled toons on a PvP server. He rolled an UD Warrior, and I rolled a Tauren Druid healbot. I played a Hunter, Priest and Warrior to level 20 before deciding druid was for me. I absolutely am loving a druid on a PvP server. I am currently at level 40 and showing no signs of slowing down.

I stealth around with my Warrior friend with track humanoids on to give warning to any ally incoming, and if my friend gets ganked, it's healbot go!
When we have to solo, he gets ganked a lot.
As for me, I can be in stealth mode, make sure no ally's are near, kill my mobs, and get right back into stealth mode. Only been jumped a handful of time. (darn stealthy rogues)

You also can't really put a price on needing a mob in the end of a cave, hitting that stealth, and avoiding many time consuming mobs. It really sucks working your way nearly to the end of the cave, only to get ganked and having your mob stolen.
So in my personal experience, druids seriously kick *** on PvP server.
