I r kitty rawr rawr me want to be pew pew lazerz where can I get my phat lewtz?

Translation: since my guild has recently done a few merges and ended up with three feral druids besides me, and we will have 2 resto druids soon (one more is going to join, and one is level 69), I'm planning on respeccing from my current feral to a balance spec. However, I would love 2 resources (you can make posts in here about it, all I really need is links to what resources you use):
1. A list of preraid moonkin gear. Preferably non-heroics, as I can tank or DPS those, whereas my tank gear won't suffice in heroics (I can DPS them though).
2. A spreadsheet of moonkin abilities, where you can plug in your talents (or it assumes you got full talents) and stats (damage, crit%, hit%, etc) to come up with DPS and DPM of different druid nukes.

Sweet moonkin spreadsheet coming right up:

About the gear list, I'm no expert in Boonkins, but I got some list examples, though I don't know how much outdated they are:

One of those linked me to http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=106672385&sid=1&pageNo=1
Which is exactly what I wanted for the gear list, except it's missing sources. It's very nice to know if the piece of gear they're sending me to get is from a level 66-70 5-man instance, or if it's from heroics, getting an odd faction up to exalted, or doing a 5-man quest nobody ever does. I'll look through the list and pick some things out, though.

And holy freaking crap that is the best DPS spreadsheet I've ever seen.

I'm guessing that if I am not spell-hit-capped, I should go with spell hit gems?

As I said, I'm no expert, but I assume you have to be spell-hit capped.

I'm a resto druid and therefore don't know alot about it but ive looked into it some.

What I have read the most of is if your not hit capped then / hit > spell damage > spell crit

Hope that helps some i think some of it is explained on that site linked

You only need +13 spell hit rating for heroics (lvl 72) if you got 2/2 in Balance of Power. You'd be getting those from the Shatar head enchant (+14 spell hit and +22 spell power I think)

You don't have a ton of spells to choose from, so that part is pretty easy. ON trash I'm using Wrath only. There is no point in charging up a Starfire cause usually the mob is dead by the time I'm done casting. Same goes for Moonfire on trash mobs. It's a rather expensive spell, and usually you won't be getting much out of the DoT component.

On bosses I'm keeping Moonfire up and spam Starfire - unless it's a fight where I need to run around a lot.

Gear sucks for the most part unless you're a tribal LW and can start out with the Windhawk set to build up with.

I remember 4 decent pieces though:

Kurenai Kilt (rep)
Starlight Gauntlets (Underbog)
Moonstrider Boots (Sethekk Halls)
Druidic Helmet of 2nd Sight (Quest)

There is also a belt and a ring that drop in Steamvault but I dont remember names on those.

Bringer of Death is your best bet on a staff outside heroics and PvP so you should grab one of those when you see it listed at your AH.
