I can take flames/bash really well...so dont hold back.

At the moment, I have the wrong weapon/sword on there. I have the HH quest 2H AXE but I logged with the wrong one.

Anyway, here is my ARMORY PAGE

I think i need to re-specc soon, but i want to stay BM and plan to do RAIDS in the future.

Thanks

Do you want to raid as a BM spec? If so then grab one of the cookie cutter BM builds from the sticky.

*Your Pathfinding may be a little handy but it is robbing you of other uesful talents.
*Why 2 points in imp. Conc. shot? for PvP that CAN be useful. For PvE.... not too much
*Monster slaying and hawkeye? Hawkeye sounds nice, but it really doesnt shine too much. An extra 6 yards is nice to shoot from, but then you have to run that much further to loot(j/k). Again more talent points better spent elsewhere.
*Are you using a pet with dash? If so ditch beastial swiftness.
*Catlike Reflexes sounds nice, but again there are three points you could spend elsewhere.

My advice, Ditch your survival talents, fix your BM tree. Max lethal shots, followed by Efficiency. then nab Aimed, rapid killing, GftT, or 2 into imp Arcane. Finish up by maxing mortal shots.

Your gear looks as though you have ready stickies and know how to gear yourself. That makes me happy in the pants. Continue with this pattern until 70 and then come back.

your gear is on the right track. You're exactly where everyone else tends to be when they hit level 61. You'll have a few different opportunities to get a better cloak. The intellect on your current one isn't that great.

As for your spec, There's a difference between BM grinding, and BM raiding. A BM grinding build has thick hide and endurance training to help keep your pet alive. a BM raid has improved revive pet and improved aspect of the hawk instead.

for level 61, a good place to be talent-wise is

As you progress to 70, you're just going to follow the same MM talents as you would with the BM raid build.

And here's the BM raid cookie cutter build
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/hunter/talents.html?0520300052501224310510505100000000000000000000000000000000000000
You may choose to keep efficiency for your own purposes while raiding, but improved hunters mark is also useful if you raid with a lot of melee.

Edit: Do not ditch Go for the Throat or Rapid Killing in favor of Improved Arcane Shot. 2 points into IAC are two points completely wasted.

I couldn't live without Hawkeye. Being able to stand out past everybody asnd out of range of every AOE makes me happy in the pants.

Thanks for the fast and informative answers. I expected more "flames" since I am a NEW hunter but I do love playing this toon more than my Prot Warrior.

About the cape, Im sure I will be running Ramparts soon and should get the perfectly balanced cape and that should hold me for a while.

Again, I really appreciate the advice and will have to re-specc for better results on "faster" leveling to 70.

Or you could just go with the most awesome build in the world-

Sulldoon's Face Pounding, Squishy Disentigrating, Roguesickle Build

Ignore them as critisize my build. They just havn't lived to see me in my full glory...

So I did a little re-spec last night and gained a couple of new items, like the trinket from Honor Hold (bladefist breadth) and a new "mail" of the bandit wrists and also a new bow.

Before I re-specced I looked at my stats and i was just above 10% Crit and Lower 800 AP...After re-spec, the power jumped to 995 (AotH on both) and Crit to 16.12%....WOW, that is a HUGE jump just by re-specc (Im sure the new gear has a lot to do with it also!

Now, I am having some problems with pet NOT keeping aggro..I also re-specced him as well..

What was your crit% before? Since Growl scales with attack power and not crit, a large jump in crit chance can make it difficult for your pet to hold aggro. It's something that a lot of BM and SV hunters have to deal with, and really the only way to overcome it (without gimping yourself) is to send your pet in, and let it get a bit of aggro.

Oh, and I'm just throwing this one out there, and I'm not meaning to offend. Did you remember to retrain Growl? Even some of the smartest people can have those moments where they just have to plant their face in their own palm over a bout of stupidity.

When I retrained the pet, i made sure to get the highest growl he can learn and claw...so that takes care of that issue...I think that because I am still used to my other spec or my PIG that can gain a LOT of aggro to start off, is the culprit.

I'm gonna have to train "myself" to let the pet gain the aggro first..

It is also a bad habbit that I have to pull mobs of their friends first before i send pet in so he doesnt have to tank 3+ mobs at a time. Im sure playing a Prot warrior has a lot to do with my "pulling" mentality.

Thanks gain for the advice.
