There are 2 other weapons in Kara that are both better than that gun for a Rogue. But just give it to who it will be the biggest upgrade.

WSR is far, far too fast for a decent MM/Surv hunter. They're looking for bows that are 2.9/3.0, with 2.8 being possible but still being a net loss due to clipping of shots. Especially when compared to Sunfury. In that situation, I'd give it to the warrior (if raiding as fury), or the rogue (if the warrior is primarily prot), unless of course the hunter was going to respec BM upon getting Wolfslayer.

My guild has been farming kara for months. My main no longer runs kara, she has just about everything that's an upgrade. Most of our guild runs are a combo of mains and alts from the guild. I was in last night's kara run with my other priest and the WSR drops, part of me is cursing because I have a hunter and the part of me is happy for the hunter that was present. The hunter is a main toon, the rogue is an alt, warrior is a main also. Over vent I hear "Since "hunter" has the Sunfury bow, "rouge"(yes, rouge Smiley: glare

) and "warrior" roll on the WSR". Smiley: confused

I know the stats on the WSR will help the rogue and the warrior, however isn't that the best gun for a hunter if (s)he chooses to to spec bm?

Maybe hanging out on the Oboards have fried whatever braincells I have left, however I would have shoved that gun down the hunter's throat even if he didn't want it. I, myself, chose Pudding. I even stated over vent that it's the best gun for a bm hunter until we get into 25mans and the comment was ignored.

I would have to agree with the guild on this one. The rogue or warrior(I'm assuming it's a fury or arms{preferably fury} warrior, please don't tell me prot, please) should get priority on it.

It is a better upgrade for them at that time. Now if the hunter was planning to re-spec BM, he should have chimed in and said so, because then it would go straight to him, but since he is MM and already has Sunfury, the rogue and warrior get priority and should have rolled to see who got it.

But to be perfectly honest, in my oppinion, in all fairness, and guild camaraderie, it should have gone straight to the warrior(still assuming the aforementioned spec choice) . Since he is a main and trying to move up to help the guild it's better for him than someone's alt that already has a main further along in progression.

The hunter didn't say a word. I'm not sure if he's just happy to be there or doesn't want to upset the GM. I assume the warrior is specced fury because he wasn't tanking, I can't get into the armory at the moment and we spec whatever is needed of us for the raids. Quite frankly I'm just a bit tired. Sunfury hits damn hard. I see a hunter with that and know I'm basically toast with my current weakling gear.

PvP, guns as a whole don't scare me as much. The bang is a dead giveaway and I've discovered, that people tend not to like bangs. At least it gets me dead quickly when I have a gun in arena. After the first bang there must be some kind of battle cry "Kill the Hunter!". A bow at least lets me shoot from cover and makes a person look for me.

So, I'd like to have the Sunfury but to be honest, I'm probably stuck with Valanos' until WotLK comes out.

I'm a BM Hunter with Sunfury Bow because it was an upgrade over valanos, but I will continue running Kara for badges and hope the Gun drops. In the meantime I am working on getting some haste to make my speed faster and make the bow not so bad, but until 2.4 comes out, Wolfslayer drops, or we go after Doomwalker and the Rifle drops, I'm sticking with the bow...but it's not like i really have a choice.

but to answer your question, give it to any of the 3, have them all roll on it unless it is a clear upgrade for the warrior or rogue.

Oh, and can anyone explain why the Gun is better than Sunfury? It's got less DPS, less top damage and less stats. Sure, it's 0.2 sec faster, but what difference does that really do other than giving you slightly less time to think in your rotations?

I'm sorta lost here... and I SHOULD know stuff like this (math-related...).
