Build Check - Level 49 resto for BGFollow

Since I have quite fond memories of the 40-49 bracket last time I had a toon in that range, I thought about staying at level 49 for a while on my shammie (until I get bored enough to level up).

I was wondering if This kind of build is good for this specific and narrow purpose, I have levelled with enhancement so far.

Any advice is of course appreciated

No. Just no. This isn't a very good BG Resto spec, I'm sorry.

Try this.

im actually a huge fan of a full 40 into resto at that level. if youre going to twink, youll have a lot of stam and hp, and if you have a lot of hp, then natures guardian heals for a lot. i dont know how many times ive tanked 3-4 guys in warsong just by spamming LHW on myself while natures guardian procs every few seconds whenever some pet hits me for 50. meanwhile, my friends are off capping the flag or decimating the guys who are so desperately trying to take me down.

for reference, heres my shammys armory profile:

shes not as twinked as she could be, but shes pretty decked out regardless. i went for more of a balanced approach with my balancing of +healing and +dmg because i like the idea of actually being able to hold my own should the need arise.

the classes that give me the most trouble tend to warlocks and priests, due to fear, silence/spell lock, and dots. really twinked nukers can give me a lot of trouble too, since theres not much i can do if an elemental shammy CL crits me for over 2k. but for the most part i can hold my own and either win or last long enough for help to arrive.

You bring up a good point Quor, I thought Natures Guardian was on a 1 minute CD like Rogue's Cheat Death, but at only 5 seconds, NG is a very good PvP talent.

You could try this one too.

This one doesn't have Imp GW, but it does have Natures Guardian and Imp Chain Heal. You will be using Chain Heal alot in BG's and it will help alot.

i tried imp chain heal. it was nice, but even with friends in a premade i hardly got use out of it. thanks to the constant movement of pvp it would barely bounce more than once, and often id fire one off into a group of allies only to see them scatter just as it casts and one person take the heal instead of three.

youre mileage may vary of course, but for what my friends and i do ive found LHW and HW to be enough. plus it gives me lockout reduction, which is pretty nice given the prevalence of warlocks, warriors, and rogues in the 40-49 bracket.

oh, another fun tip i just remembered is in regards to healing way. ive got about 5 ranks of healing wave on my bar, including rank 1 which ill use to stack the healing way buff on someone if theyre about to go into lots of hot water. very effective before a nice blacksmith melee or the initial midfield fustercluck in warsong.
