Going prot at 62 in outlands, while being prot should I use a 2h sword? Or sword and board?

I mean I know the obvious reason (I think) is sword and board since almost all the talents in prot compliment that mix...but maybe I'm wrong?

What do you think?

"Holy Shield" will be your cornerstone if that says anything...

I think the first thing you want to do is see how far you can jump off the edge of Hellfire Penninsula.

Use sword and board, or respec to Retribution for a two-hander.

That clear bubbly thing priests put on you... you can only use a 1-handed weapon while this is active.

Otherwise you can equip what is called a "board" that is considered "dual wielding". This weapon has a very random swing timer. occasionally you can see your character swing it at the mob. I really don't know why anyone would use such a thing... as the damage dealt is to yourself and not the MOB!

I've been prot since about Lv62 to Lv70. I did a quest around that level and tried using the 2hr it gave as a reward (not a very special one, but better white damage than my 1-hd). Needless to say... I no longer even keep a 2-hd weapon, unless it's in my bank awaiting the time I re-spec Ret.

Going protection will be slow, was for me... just get used to it. Stick with your sword & board. Only advantage I had was my wife plays a shadow priest. So when we group things go alot faster.
