Battle Ground Spec? Any good ones?Follow

I am looking for a good spec for BGs.

Wondering why I don't see any threads on Discipline builds? Do most Priest go Shadow or Holy?

Discipline is the BG/Arena spec of choice.

The reason why you see a lot of shadow builds on here is because it is the leveling spec and that is when people have the most questions. Once those shadow levelers hit 70, many respec to holy to do raiding and that is why you see lots of holy builds.

As for a Disc build I'm not very up to speed on my PvP talents but I'd say the following are a must:
- Martyrdom
- Imp. Mana Burn
- Focused Will
- Pain Supression

Then probably hop over into Holy and get:
- Healing Focus
- Spell Warding
- Blessed Recovery

Just a few ideas, like I said I'm just picking what I'd take, I don't have any Disc experience in arena.

Don't worry about changing specs for battlegrounds, it won't make that much difference in the end, especially in a place like AV. Any spec of priest can find something useful to do in any of the battlegrounds. Just learn where to go and who to hang around so you aren't an easy kill. It can be fun to be high up on the healing list and still have more than average killing blows.

Arena is a whole different matter and gets way more complicated than I can handle. The general rule of thumb is that a good priest arena spec will be poor at PVE so you have to set your goals and priorities. It not that you can't heal a group or raid as disc, but the group may prefer to have somebody more ideal so you take your chances. The more over geared the group is for the instance the more likely a disc priest is to be accepted.
