Double Flurry Proc?Follow

#1 Feb 20 2008 at 11:06 AM Rating: Decent
So I am currently Slam-MS PVE build and am enjoying the frick out of it. Just about at hit cap and don't have to worry about it much longer unless I switch to DW-Fury.

I was running around in Skettis doing dailies one day and I ran into a Tier 4 and a half Fury Warrior and he suggested having two slow weapons with the same speed for the chance of "Double Flurry Procs."

So I'm just wondering if it is true if a two flurries can proc which would be devastating on the damage meters. Does anybody have any knowledge of the event or personal experience?

If double flurry is possible...I'm switchin to DW real fast.

Armory is "Rikktor" on Silverhand.

I'm not sure what he meant by that but you can't get 2 flurry procs, and if you could they probably wouldn't stack anyway. The reason people pick two slow 1h's for DW is for more WW damage.

What he means: is it possible to proc flurry on both mainhand AND offhand at the same time? I for one don't know...

Wait wait wait ... the way I read it was that your OH whirlwind Crits don't proc Flurry, and they're fixing that. Are you saying that it's more than that, and that , currently, ALL OH crits don't proc flurry ??

If what you're saying is true, I think I might actually wet myself ;-)

Oh, and to answer the OP (and to elaborate slightly on Fletus's post) ...

What happens is that Flurry will proc, which means your next 3 strikes are at +25% speed, the first swing (both weapons same speed) will eat 2 charges, then the next swing starts and BOTH weapon speed are calculated with 25% haste, this is because there is still one charge left, and and both weapons start swinging at the same time, hence they both get the haste increase.

If one weapon was slightly slower than the other (2.6 and 2.7 speed weapons for example), then the quicker weapon would get the 3rd haste rating, and take up the last flurry charge.

The nett result is that you get 4 strikes at 25% haste as opposed to 3.

Depending upon the attack order, synched speed weapons generate either two or four charges. If the attack order goes crit, hit then one charge of Flurry is instantly consumed. If the attack order goes hit, crit then you generate three Flurry charges, and the last charge can cover both weapons. The only time it consistently generates four is off instant attacks.
