Good job Skribs :). My guilds gaining members and levelling up for it now to hopefully start in a month or two, pretty excited. Sounds like a pretty good collection of gear for your first run. IS your spec feral bal or resto? If feral, are you tank or dps ( just want to hear how you go at the roles in Kara for your opinion).

I'm feral. I would be off-tank and DPS, except that my tanking gear is absolutely attrocious. It's getting better though. (If I put on my tank gear, and am sure to be uncrittable, I would only have about 16.3k armor and 10k HP...part of the problem is a lack of enchants, which I will be getting more of as soon as I can go out and farm).

I was DPS, and did pretty good. 4th out of 5 DPSers, but hey I was fresh from the regular runs, didn't have too much AoE, and there was only about a 3.7% gap from the lowest DPSer to the top.

If I were to plan on doing only DPS in kara though, I would have gone balance. Since 95% of the mobs are immune to rip.

I heard through the grapevine that undead and mechanicals will be susceptible to bleed effects in the next patch (2.4). We'll see what happens when the patch actually goes live... but this sounds like good news for ferals!

Grats, on the full clear first time through, Skribs, that's awesome. Since you cleared it first time through and got all that loot can you PLEASE confirm that your run was with a guild group that has it on farm and let you need every single frakkin piece of feral gear? What a massive overnight upgrade to your stats THAT must have been. Unbelievable. Throw some of your mojo my way, man, since I'm just getting into Kara myself.

The 2.4 patch notes say "Non-corporeal Undead and Mechanical creatures are now susceptible to bleed effects."

Yeah that sounds great, but corporeal means "1. of the nature of the physical body; bodily." So non-corporeal should mean that only undead and mechanical creatures that don't have bodies will be susceptible to bleed effects. Most of the undead and mechanical creatures I run across have what are clearly "bodies." What doesn't? Fel cannons. What else? : /

That's 2 separate things. Non-corporeal undead (i.e. ghost-like mobs) and mechanicals (not non-corporeal mechanicals).

So, that should be all mechanicals, and all ghost-like mobs susceptible to bleeds. Unfortunately, that still leaves skeletons and elementals (and ghouls? I can't recall if they bleed or not.)

Duh. Stupid ambigious "and". Thanks for clarifying.

Duskwood and Plaguelands were a long time ago, but I'm 95% sure ghouls already bleed.

Ghouls can bleed already. Maybe blizzard meant "all undead that can't bleed yet." Blizzard isn't always known for their clarity...

The guild I'm in kinda has it on farm. But a lot of us still need a lot of gear in there, and I WAS the only leather wearer. The necklace I think everyone either had or had a better one already (all the meleers anyway).

Well, basically, it leaves skeletal undead and elementals as things that won't bleed. Which isn't too bad, I suppose.
