Added Benefit of UncrittabilityFollow

Some of you may already know this but I just found this out/discovered this the other day.

If you are uncrittable, you can't get knocked off your mount by the Monstrous Kailiri in Skettis. When they swoop at you to knock you off, you get a nice little immune that pops up.

So for some of you protadins, that's one more reason to stick with it. For you holydins with multiple sets it might make things a bit quicker to throw on your prot gear when you're bombing their eggs.

hmmmm.

I do my dailies on my rogue with about 300 res which is 7 some percent less chance to crit. So should be uncrittable, and every bird i run into knocks me off.

@KTurner, it might be directly related to defense... I don't really understand the mechanic behind it. They mention it on WoWWiki saying that @490 defense you can't get knocked off.

Im pretty sure it has to do with being dazed. the equation for that is related to Defense from what i understand. not being uncrittable, that is just coincedence.

Def prevents Dazed. they even tried to change it a few patches ago and tanks where in an uproar because they couldnt possition crap with out being dazed for it. so it got changed back before it went live or there was a hot fix shortly after, cant really remember the details.

Edit: Dazed status demounts you incase you where wondering where i was going with that. the monsterous kilary or what ever doesnt actually have a demounting move. if your facing it, you can be attacked all day untill you run out of HP and still stay mounted.

a tip, you can fly straight up faster then them. will be fixed in 2.4 however. easy way to escape them for now.

As for flying up, i had a bird follow me to the flight ceiling. i swear they ******* hate my rogue.

yeah, thats annoying. its only happened to me like twice maybe three times. there are only a very select few that will follow you up to the ceiling. the rest barely get past the canopy.

good question, when i get hit buy that move im slow as ****(at least i think thats the move). which means i can do little to escape their trashing and a daze is soon to follow.

do you have any snare resist or something? and rather then resist it says immune?

Pretty sure it's the defense/avoidance not necessarily just "uncritable" that makes you immune.

Rue, I still get the hamstring effect, but when it tries the swoop I just get the "you're immune" message.

Swoop doesn't knock you off your mount. It's just a stun. The reason you're immune to it is the same reason you're immune to every stun/CC on your mount... you're flying.

That happens to me all the time on my epic flyer. If you fly straight up at full speed, they'll keep up and follow you. I got around it by flying and stopping. Then flying a few feet and stopping. On and on.

Now I just land and kill em. It's faster that way and good practice for 2.4.

Don't fly straight up, fly forward and up. The incline of just holding jump is steep enough and it means they're leash either on the horizontal or vertical plane instead of just one.

I would have to agree with the 490 defense not getting knocked of your mount in sketti, i switch between prot and holy. I can fly around bomb all the eggs fly to next tree and same all the while i got some bird pecking at me. But if i am holy spec i have been knocked of my mount several times doing the daily.

Ah thanks RPZip, that clears things up a bit. I guess what confused me was I thought that patch did go through and that defense didn't effect dazed anymore.

Yeah but they kept it in the patch notes, it was an odd patch.
