Hi all,
I'm playing a druid on a PvE server. I really like PvE. PvP is not currently a priority for me. I do a lot of soloing, but as I grow I will more likely also take part in groups. I've not yet distributed my available talent points and I'm not sure whether I should go for a balance or feral focused build.
I would love to hear your opinions on which route I shall (or you would) take and for which reasons.

Hey man, welcome to the Druid Class.
Well depends what type of style you like to do. Driving the animal inside of you and ripping things up as a bear or cat. Or casting with various nature spells. In the early dungeons you will be asked to heal, and even in later dungeons Balance spec are requested to heal more than dps (my friends case anyway). Plus in end game, Restoration is very sought after, so balance is easier to respec with the intellect gear.
SO it kinda depennds on your style but druids are awesome either way ENJOY!

What level are you now?
If still leveling the most common build (and widely accepted spec to level up as) is Feral. This is due to how fast you can level with the talent points in the Feral tree.
Respec in the 40s or so when Moonkin and trees are available to you.
Of course there is no rule saying you can't level as balance but the items to support it are few and far between (+spell crit, and +Int on Leather),you won't be able to take as much damage and you will be taking lots of mana breaks.
In the end, however, play with the different specs and have fun...soon you will have sooo many forms you won't know what to do with them all!

Sorry if my post was a bit sketchy i was in a bit of a rush.
Basically, as feral you will have larger options than a balance druid in group as your specialised in both tanking in bear and dps in cat. Feral gear is easier to combe by than balance gear in outland at lvl 58-70. My friend is balance and hes found hes healing more than dpsing as balance seeing he has intellect gear (more mana). So like i said depends on what you like to do. Im feral obviously and i love it. Good dps and being able to tank is great for getting into groups ;).
Anyway hope i made it clear have fun its one of the greatest classes in my opinion enjoy!
