Other than a more cool name, of course.

Being able to walk.

How fun would it be if you could walk around in Flight Form? Very! I imagine it would have to be something like getting close enough to the ground to where you "lock on" or whatever happens. You know, where only the spacebar will release you. Then you'd have to land, using either /sit or the 'X'-key (default key). And then you'd have to switch to walk mode instead (Num Lock by default). That would make the bird walk instead of fly when you start moving.

Switching back to run mode (Num Lock) would lift you up to the low altitude flight and so on.

Just a thought. I think it would be awesome if I could strut around in Shattrath, to the envy of every other class out there.

One can dream, right?

4 patches ago I could pick herbs while *flying now I keep getting messages if i'm not *grounded in some form to get my feathery tail on the dirt. When you're zipping around at 280% speed is a little difficult to tell. Hopping and retracting your wings when you reach the ground like all the flying mounts do would be nice so you can be seen zipping around like a road runner with wings at half mast.

It's okay to be gay, but do you have to flaunt it like that?

You just go to your druid trainer when you are level 68 and train the skill, and you will automatically obtain the spell and Expert riding (225 skill). No real hassle to it, just have to have Journeyman riding (150 skill) and pay around 8 gold and 10 silver to the trainer if I recall correctly.

so no need to pay the 800g for training?

hmmm i love birdy birdy KAW KAW form even more now =P

Flight form should shift out when you cast spells like with all of the other forms!

'k, so, I'm hanging out in the air last night, minding my own business, picking herbs, and then it occurs to me to wonder... so I stop moving and type /dance.

And you know what happens? A big fat nothing.

FF needs a dance.
#20 Feb 22 2008 at 9:22 AM Rating: Excellent
I can't believe nobody's mentioned this yet. What FF really needs is **** BOMBING! It wouldn't do anything to the target, kind of like snowballs, but it would make a big white SPLAT!

Teacake, yes, FF dance would be awesome!

It does, if you're close enough to the ground. You really don't want to change the effects of that mechanic. Imagine hitting Rejuvenation by mistake while in mid-air and in combat. Kthxsplat!

But if you insist on toying with death, do this:

Hit Escape, click Interface from the menu and make sure the Basic tab is selected. In the top-right corner of the window there should be some checkable options, including one called Auto Dismount in Flight.

You're now one crazy son of a furbolg.

i always thought of diving down using natures swiftness, then wrath and switchng back and flying off

this would only work if you were close enough to the ground to not take damage form the fall in cat form, or far enough from the ground to be able to swap to bear from and feral charge before you hit the ground.

would be great of you could reform in combat, and fly away.

That's because when you did it in the air, no mobs would aggro. Same with skinning and many quests that asked you to get things from the ground. (Mushrooms, feathers, eggs, ect)

I say what Flightform needs is the ability to have any pets with a flying animation (Owl, Parrot, Moth maybe?) have the ability to fly behind you in the air.

Thank you for the switching trick! And I have thought about accidentally switching out in combat, and the notion seems thrilling! I need to try that out sometime!

We should get the ability to lay eggs, other ppl could eat them for some nice buffs.

Like if you eat a resto egg you get +40 healing from life blooms. This would be both funny and force others to eat our butt egg..
