For spell damage, I haven't got the enchants on gloves/bracers yet but plan to soon. I'm in mostly blues except for green shoulders/boots and crystalweave bracers/S1 gloves. I'm doing a lot of AV to get rid of the greens (shoulders refuse to drop in Mech!!!); is there anything else I can do which will help? I've got Glyph of Power on my helm and Spellthread for legs.
Remember that crits do not generate extra aggro. They just generate as much aggro as any other attack that does that much damage would. There's no such thing as "Too much crit". (Well, ok, technically 101% as Mazra suggested would be too much, but at reasonable levels of gear, what I said stands).
If you crit several times in a row and look to be about to pull aggro, stop attacking. You just bought yourself a few seconds outside the 5SR and some extra mana regen that comes with it. You would have come that close to pulling aggro had you done that much damage with no crits.
Also, personally, I'd say better than using Cower would be to equip a Feral AP weapon and run up and Meleekin for a moment to let the tank get a threat lead and to regen a bit of mana for when you need it.
