My point was taken out of proportion.

It's not 2 hours for a piece of gear that pwns the PvE gear.

I prefer to min/max for DPS, and having resilience and sta on the gear isn't a bad thing, but it does detract from the focus of pure DPS.

from my experience

Is exactly what I wrote. Which means, exactly that.

The OP was specifically talking about Kara grade gear. Not T5/6. And that's what information I was talking about, and in reference to.

And only one person here said that PvP > PvE for gearing. Which is plainly untrue, especially with as little information as;

Quote:
10 games = Maximum 2 hours
Farming Kara for 1-2 piece of gear = Max 20 hours
PVP > PVE

Warriors being being made to be tanks!.. Oh Em Gee go figure. Thats like saying hunters have to do ranged damage and not be a melee noob.

You fail at reading comprehension. The OP's complaint was that there isn't much dps plate to upgrade from pre-kara loot until you get into T5 content, and that a dps warrior is forced to wear even leather armor to increase his dps, or do arena.

That being said, I myself need to grind 30k honor and 10 EotS marks for the vindicator neck and ring...

imo, yes

since they have already force paladins to either heal in raids or heal in arenas, worriors being a classes with 2 opsions it's kinda nice

Not really, paladins can raid as any spec and pvp as two (obviously), they're all about equally good.

A) Your guild is doing T5/T6 content and their only reason to do kara is to help alts, or farm badges, etc. In this position, you can probably pick up a few key pieces from Kara before you're carried through Gruul's lair once or twice, then pick up a key piece while there before you're doing T5 content etc... If this is how things are for an individual I can definitely see why they think the way they do about PVP gear being a waste of time for PVE content. Not everyone is on this boat, however. Not everyone can have their hand held through a raid like this. If anyone finds this wording offensive, it's not my intention.

It's not offensive as much as it is ridiculously stupid to hear. What the hell do you mean "carried"? Either you SUCK at being a dps warrior or you have NEVER been one. Oh..Way to blow things out of proportion, YAY!!

In close, stop with all this "PVPing for gear is a bigger waste of time" VS "PVEing for gear is the bigger waste of time", because realistically it will vary person to person.

Realistically you are a moron IMO. Just because you can PvP doesnt mean you know how to PvE!! Sure, some of the gear is on par with the PvE gear you can get but chances are most DPS warriors that are using Honor to get gear aren't really getting the greatest gear outta s1. I mean wholly crap man, RESIL is FTW in PVE!!!

Oh uno mas! You really shouldn't go through kara with more than one DPS warrior IMO. /end rant WOOT!

Your post is fail of the purple variety.

What do I mean by carried you ask? You either suck or I never been one you say?

I'll start by saying I've never been a warrior. Does that some how limit what I know or don't know? Yes, yes it does. Does it prevent me from being able to look up gear charts like emerald's list or others similar for various classes? No. Not at all.

Second I'll move into the I suck part/carried through, which btw, to be clear, I realize you may not have meant that as a direct line toward me and perhaps it was a generalized "you". Either way, you have to be a very not-so-smart person to not see how an entire guild sporting T5/T6 equipment would be able to get a newly Kara keyed player into T5 content faster by leaps and bounds than a guild made entirely of folks who are all relatively new to Kara. I will say this another way... I don't care how much you don't suck as a newly keyed player, you're absolutely not carrying any real weight (when compared to the others) as a dps warrior in kara IF all 9 of the other players are wearing T5/T6 gear. Does that mean the warrior newly keyed sucks? Or does it mean they were carried through? There's quite a difference in meaning with this name stamping.

The comedy I see reading this one... I can't see how someone wouldn't think moron of the person who wrote it.

I am curious though, what exactly in your brain housing made you mention S1? Who was ever talking/comparing S1? I think the OP specifically used words like "arena" even in the subject line.

Pallies can PvP as any spec. However, their threat threshold will make it unlikely for a retri pally to get in a raid.
