Necklace of the Juggernaut
Brooch of Deftness

Now I know the obvious response is that Juggernaut is the more tankish necklace since it has +22 defense skill. The Tankspot gear rankings even list it far below Necklace of the Juggernaut. But it seems to me that with such a large amount of hit rating and expertise, and 15 more stamina than the Necklace of the Juggernaut, the extra defense from NotJ is negligible. Besides, I'm sitting on 525 defense anyway, +22 defense rating will bring me down practically not at all.

Its a question of more avoidance vs more TPS. If youre comfortable with the dodge and parry you'd lose by swapping out the NotJ (and trust your healers) I'd say definately go with BoD. Thing has SICK TPS potential. I imagine any extra damage you take would be more than compensated for in Rage gained.

And you can think of it this way: The more threat you can stick on to a mob, the more latitude you give your DPS. You might take extra hits during the fight, but it should end more quickly.

Brooch is far superior in almost all cases. It will last you into and beyond BT for the unique form of mitigation that it offers, in that it reduces your chance of being parried. This reduces your chances of random bursts of damage from bosses getting parry strings. Add into this the fact that it gives massive TPS gains as well as a large chunk of stamina, and you get what is probably the best tanking neck in the game at the moment. If the rest of your gear can support it, there is no question. Wear it.

Edit: The only real reason to keep the other around is for an avoidance set anyways, and in terms of avoidance pieces, just aim for Barbed Choker of Discipline. It's a lot better for avoidance purposes, and Maiden is a pushover.
