Is my wand broke?Follow

#1 Feb 15 2008 at 12:13 PM Rating: Decent
I am a level 21 Human Lock, Affliction. In my off hand I hold a Basic Staff. I can not seem to figure out what the heck it does. Do I need to train? I have used it in my fighting hand and still nothing. Is it only for +bonus? Feel free to check out my gear in the Armory and let me know what you think. Should I hold a different item in my off hand? Wanting to get the Emberstone Staff tonight from DM. NEWB question, I know. Please keep the "you can hold this" comments to a minimum......lol

Please excuse the type-o. I meant wand, not staff. I am looking for information on how to use my wand.

You equip wands in that tiny box to the right of the offhand, and use the shoot command from the general abilities spellbook to shoot/wand.

yeah, there is a shoot ability in your spell book as the above poster mentioned, but mostly it's just for stats, I don't think I've shot my wand at anything since about level 15.

I have made the same mistake with three different caster alts. It pisses me off every damn time. I am sitting there trying to wand something and my toon just looks at me like I really am totally retarded.

Pretty hard to do if we dont know your name or server, buddy! Smiley: grin

Anyway, as other people have said (just because I dont like to post a comment like that and not try to help), you just have to press "P" (as default) to open your spell book, go in the general tab, and look up an icon that says "shoot", with an icon that should resemble your currently equipped wand.

Put it on your hotbar, and click it /press the hotkey everytime you want to start shooting stuff with it.
