I am a fresh 70 hunter and have 51 talent points in marksmanship. When I'm in a battlefield I get hit by other hunters and this shot stuns me for 6-10 seconds. On the other hand when I use my concusive (sp) I don't get the same results. Could someone straighten me out on this please..

I was thinking Imp Concussive shot. But then he said 6 seconds, so I'm wondering if it is truely 6-10 seconds or is it an exageration of time(pvp 3 seconds could feel like a few minutes). But then I thought possibly Wyvern Sting. Possibly not a shot at all and maybe intimidate(but then that goes back to the whole 6 second thing).

Stuns or Sleeps? Because Wyvern Sting sleeps the target for 12 seconds (in PvP it's 10) and when you come out of the sleep you get a pretty potent DoT on you. A little more information would help us identify it better, but as far as i know that's the only thing it can be because even when Imp. Conc procs you only get stunned for 3 seconds.

Or possibly concussive shot with points in the marksmanship talent tree toward improved concussive shot.

Without have all of the info, this can only be a few things...

(a) Improved Concussive Shot - short 3 sec (?) daze
(b) Wyvern Sting - sleep animation when hit by it
(c) Scatter Shot - you are moving around but can't do anything...basically disoriented. Any damage delt to you will break this one.

With all of that said, you may want to explore the offician WoW Hunter Forums for a good PvP build. Fully 51 into MM means you are missing some awesome PVP talents from the other 2 trees. You'll find MM to be great for PVP, but not full 51 points.

This is likely Wyvern Sting, been nailed by it a few times in Arena. You can trinket out of the sleep but the DoT... well, haven't seen it get effected by the trinket.

You have to take down the SV hunter fast if you trinket out of it. If not, it's a loss. They can reset and fire that puppy again and you'll be down for the full 10 seconds next time while they chew on the rest of your team.

You need to retaliate with a plan, maybe something like silence, concuss and viper sting (to burn mana on them) then full dps unload. If you got lucky and stunned them, you will likely have them, if not, it's a crapshoot dps match. Your pet should already be chewing on them or their healer the whole time.

SV hunters can be very effective in Arena if played right, as can BM hunters. I've played against both. MM may have a slight utility advantage but ANY well played hunter is dangerous in arena.
