Spirit-Based Mana Regeneration: This system has been adjusted so that as your intellect rises, you will regenerate more mana per point of spirit.
This is no joke right now on the ptr. I went over there with 229 unbuffed mp5 while casting. On the ptr it bumped me to 266 mp5 unbuffed while casting. Seems this will allow for the drop of some mp5 gear/gems for haste gear.

Yeah I read about some of the theorycrafting behind this on the EJ forums and its pretty far over my head. The basics of what I read was that once over 300 Int you get a significant Mp5 bump from spirit. Sounds good to me.
Haste seems to be the new "it" stat Bliz is pushing for 2.4 and the next xpac. You really think it will help priests? I'm kind of in the "meh" opinion about this flavor of the week.

I think haste can help quite a bit, I have 67 spell haste right now and it has knocked off .1 sec off my greater heal. Shouldn't be too hard to get around 200 spell haste which should be about .3 sec of greater heal. Seems like a nice change to me, esspecially if I can manage to get it down to 2 secs while keeping 220 base mp5.
Not to mention any time at all taken off the global cooldown is welcome by me. In massive AOE damage fights, it just means i can get CoH off faster. Even split seconds in that can make a huge difference.

You'll need barely under 400 haste to get 2-sec Gheals, which probably isn't realistic. Getting 200-ish is much moreso, which will net about 2.22sec casts.
Ya 400 haste would be pretty rough to get, 300 is entirely very easy to get once sunwell content is on farm. Between the new T6 gear and new sunwell gear, with losing only about 27 mp5 from my current stats(probably less since my spirit actually went up.)
27 mp5 is easily made up by the new mp5 conversion. That's all top end gear, but definitly possible for top end priests. With the gear to get to around 300 haste it would leave neck, weapon, offhand, trinkets, 1 ring, and a cloak to work on boosting your haste even more.

You went up that much? And from your armory, your spirit score isn't even that high! We'll see how it works for priests like me who stack spirit (I hang around 900 spirit when I raid).
