I'm just curious as to what you find fun when doing on your druid. Be it PvP, raid, 5-man, solo, arena, feral, balance, resto, or anything, whether it be something you do a lot, something you got lucky on, or whatever it is that makes you grin and happy you're doing what you're doing, tell us what it is.

For me, as a fresh 70 feral starting the 5-mans, I really enjoy off-tanking. The most fun I had in any instance was shattered halls on the 6+ mob pulls, where I would get a guy on me, then DPS the first mob in bear form, then as enemies I'm tanking drop (and/or hunter trap breaks) picking up the adds. Or if adds go after a ranged DPS/healer I'd grab them and bring them back to the tank so he can taunt it off me. That's what I like about my druid, what about you guys?

I have a great group of friends/guildies who I used to run heroics with. We got so used to working together that we had to occaisionally check to make sure we had it set to heroic! :)

The single best one though was that we managed to beat Heroic Black Morass (before they nerfed it). It is the single hardest thing I have done. We actually wiped as the last boss spawned, but run back and managed to pull the dragon off the shield with it at 4%!

The entire time was a crazy mix of max DPS, mana conservation (me innervating the healer & healing up the party between fights to save the priests mana), battle rezzing the priest at one stage so he could rez the mage who had also died. All the while struggling to keep up with the portals.

Very proud we managed to do it. Nobody else I know had even come close up till then.

The thing I love most about my druid is being able to be called in to full any roll. I have 3 and a half sets of gear and If my guild is short of healers or tanks I just respec to what is needed.

I love how the druid class is so versatile. I love that if I want to do something different - like go from melee dps to healing I don't have to roll another class. Feel like tanking? Go respec :)

Yes I have rolled other classes to 70 (Warrior and lock) and working on another 2 (shaman and priest) but my favourite class will always remain my druid.

My favourite story as a druid must have been when we did Shattered halls with 4 Mages and me healing as a feral druid. We would just sheep 4 mobs each pull and I would tank one while popping out to heal whenever necessary by cycloning the mob I was tanking. We cleared the place in about 40 minutes. Only done it faster once and that was with a pally tank recently and we were all fully epicced.

I enjoy tanking, but dps'ing or off-tanking is my favorite. I like being able to fill any role as needed, and off-tanking especially lets you do that within a single pull sometimes. Do some damage, snag 'n tank loose mobs, innervate healer, battle rez MT...good times, good times. It's what we were made for, what we're 100% uniquely capable of doing, how can ya beat that? I enjoy doing so in 5-mans, but after my first partial Kara run the other night I think I'm gonna like that even more. Can't wait to go back.

I've played every class to some degree or another at this point, and I think druid is far and away the best soloing machine. Yep, even better than hunters. No hassle, no downtime, almost no limit to the number of mobs you can take, and the color of the quest doesn't matter. Got in over your head? Well, you have all kinds of tricks to help you run away too (though it's often easier to just stick it out and kill it all). Because there's nothing you can't do (damage, heal, etc.), you really don't need anyone else to help you with anything.

Most fun I have is being able to do whatever is needed. I mainly pvp at this point and farm gold trying to get enough for epic flight. It's great to be attacked by another player and switch forms and watch them run because they suddenly realize they have no shot at winning. I can dps clothies as cat, wear down others as bear, and basically just have fun healing, flying, tanking, dpsing, or whatever else I want to do, druids have the best of all the other classes. I have tried some others and druid is by far the best, I can change to fit the situation I'm in.

I love Tanking as a Druid, being in the front line taking the beating for everyone else.

I'm also looking forward to eventually getting a decent Gear sets for Healing and DPS and just being able to fill any roll for a simple Spec change (I'm definatly looking forward to the patch and retaining spell training when changing talents)

My favorite memory as of now would be tanking in bear form, shifting out, casting bark skin/Tranquility, healing the whole group from near death and agro'ing the **** out of everything...Made me feel God like =P

Yesterday I went to SH for the very first time. And I was the tank, althoug I was not marking. Were me, 2 mages, 1 priest and 1 rogue. We pretty much one-shotted everything, having trouble only 2 times.

First was in the room where there is 3 "passages". We were battling against a group of 3 mobs with another 2 cced and the rogue got feared and aggroed 5 more mobs. I promptly popped Challenging Roar, told the 2 mages to sheep the healer mob and another mage-type mob, popped barskin, hurrycane on every mob to grab AoE aggro, told the mage to nova them, walked a litlle behind to not get hit, hibernate on the 2 eagle beasts, popped a health potion, got back to bear form, and told them to focus fire on my targets. Now we have 4 sheeped mobs, 2 hybernated beasts and 4 mobs to down quick, since hybernate ends very quickly.
The healer was hit only once or twice by the beasts when hybernate ended, because they do a random charge, and one of the mages died when I got feared and his sheep was resisted at the same time. Long history short, we managed to clean the room and not wipe, don't ask me how.

The second was in the last boss, with his blink and AoE arcane spell, where everyone has to go behind the pillars. As I never did that before, I had some trouble keeping the aggro on him after the AoE. The rogue died first, then one of the mages died, then the healer died with him on 20%, keeping me and the other mage to kill him. I popped frenzied regeneration and told the mage to use his most powerfull spells without worrying with aggro. I used every bleedable thing I could, used lacerate/maul/mangle non-stop and hoped that the boss would die before me. Wich didn't happened, since I died with him having 4k hp left. Then the mage and the bleedable effects managed to kill that boss, wich was pretty funny to see.

I had really fun yesterday doing this SH.

= wealthy druid ftw. :)

I love stealth, flying, bear, cat, all of it. I love being a groups "oh ****" member. Going back to Maiden after a wipe in Kara, somebody agro'd a bunch of trash elites. Only 6 or 7 of us there, most at half health. Toss out some HoTs, go bear and start pulling mobs off of clothies...ah, good times. When its all done my favorite mage /w to me "You rock!" Still trying to get the swelled ego to go down.

It's a simple thing, really, but I love flying way high up, arrive over where I want to be, pop into caster form and free fall for a bit, then pop back into hawk form at the last minute for the soft landing.

I get more "wow's" and "cool's" over than than anything.

Definitely the Solo'ability! I was really happy when I could solo Uldaman at level 48. this may not sound too hard but the "Hidden Chamber" Quest solo was an amazing struggle for life including a few extra aggro'd mobs.

I often play with a quest buddy. We both dps but, if anything goes sour, I go bear form and he heals. Considering out gear is nothing special, we can 2-man a surprising amount of content.

I can tank or dps, and all it requires is a change of gear rather than a spec change. And then I can emergency heal and/or combat the rez the healer.

Innervate FTW

I can dash - Both useful as a way to run away from an enemy while inside, or to beat a friend to the netherbloom :D

Instant flight form. There's nothing quite as cool as running off a cliff on my mount and instantly switching into bird while falling through the air. A close second is saving myself from death by jumping off the edge of Outlands.

If they ever nerf herb gathering in flight form, I will be a very sad cow.

you forgot /purr

I would've quit WoW 6 months ago if I hadn't decided to get my baby DE'er up to 70, and then realised what an ABSOLUTE POWERHOUSE she is!

I'm seriously stunned by her ability to severely outDPS raid rogues and mages, out-threat prot raid warriors (DropBearBomb {the ability to use feral charge in mid-air} ftw!)

When she's not needed to dps/tank, she has a gorgeous +heal set that can get close to T6 disc priests on crits (ok, she sucks on mana pool, but it's a fantastic bit of cover)

PvP is great - she carries 4 pieces of PvP gear as a DPS standard, and can powershift with great effect. Any BG is a cakewalk for her, prob because playing her is 2nd nature to me anyway.

Overall, the best fun she has.. is doing anything at all.

Edit: forgot to mention - soloing instances!! (BRD 70%, Ramps, SP 1st, planning more)

Oh, and she's one sexy lil' elfy chicky.

That I can tank and dps and heal depending on gear (well with feral spec at least). Feral is also great for farming and leveling, and pretty decent in BG's.

For resto I loved healing with HoTs. It was much less stressful in raids than the stupid "gotta land my heal before everyone else" race that other healers have to do. I never did very well in Arenas mainly because my and my partners' gear sucked and the queues were so long that we'd play the minimum every time.

Although I've already said my piece, I feel the need to do so again.

Druids really do have an almost unequaled ability to solo. Not in the same way as hunters who have 30 billion tricks to immobilize, separate, and otherwise contain mobs. But in a more visceral 'claws buried in the dirt ready to take whatever they can give' kind of way.

I was just doing some of the Spinebreaker Post quests on my 61 druid (gathering blood and such). Unless you're careful, the mobs in that area aggro like crazy. I remember that place being horrible last time I went through it with a group.

But going solo it was awesome! I'd have them aggroing one after the other - a constant stream of mobs. But with Bear form, Healing touch, rejuv, barkskin, warstomp, etc, it was almost impossible to kill me. A couple times, I ran out of mana (and had potions on cooldown) and that's when it's time to break out the travel form. And prowl means skipping all of the stuff you don't want to fight at all.

Probably the stealth coupled w/ the ability to heal/tank and dps.

When stealth-running instances, it is really nice to be able to pop into a tank outfit for the hard hitting bosses and then a dps outfit for those I can burn down quickly.

LOL - welcome to the joys of being a druid!

I guess the real question is, what isn't fun about playing a druid?

I love soloing - nothing more pleasant then having a boat load of mobs jump you and you manage to take them all down without issue.

I love grouping - tank or dps, I inevitably get complimented on either how indestructable I am or that I'm blowing away the other dps in the meters.

I love raiding - nothing better then having the warrior fall and then you, the bear in leather, jump into the breach and keep the boss tanked AND survive. Its also fun playing taunt games with the other tanks on the trash mobs - seeing who can steal the other guy's aggro and whatnot.

Im kinda new as druid, 41lvl yet. But thing I like most is prowling. doing stuff with out no one knowing abou it. I played rogue before and somehow the cat version of stealth is more fun than humanoid one. and cat dont scream "uff" and "outch" when he got hit, so.. I love cat (you can pat me).

I agree.. stealth makes so many things in this game so much easier and less painfully long.

I'm only 63, but I can already tell that the thing I will love most about Druid is being able to break out of combat when someone is a prick while I'm doing my thing, and instantly transform into a 280% movement speed bird..

It makes me think of those movies, where some guy is getting chased and manages to escape, and the chaser looks around confused. I cant wait
