70 Swords vs. Fists - Anyone with quantifiable info?Follow

So I dinged 70 and have started--far too late really--working on honor points for weapons (I'll be shooting for assassination armor set after this). I have found a lot of back-and-forth about combat swords vs. combat fists on thottbot, o boards, here, etc... Mostly "L2P NOOB!!! Swords FTW!!!!" and "my fist rouge [sic] melts face" type posts. But I can't seem to find any actual number crunching or quantified comparisons. Maybe I'm blind as the bat-keeper but I was hoping I could farm the more experienced players' minds for suggestions and opinions. I'm almost exclusively PvE, currently imperfectly spec'd combat swords and plan to continue the 5-man progression through to raiding BT.

Far as I can tell, swords will keep up the sustained dps and fists will obviously crit more often. In the end I'd imagine the actual total damage per instance run to be close to equal for both, but I'd guess that swords would produce more smooth and manageable threat while fists will spike TPS with the added crits.

I guess my other question beyond the numbers is how do the experienced raiding rogues feel about the slight differences between the two weapon types?

Thank you in advance and if I missed a thread somewhere, please let me know! Below are the specific weapons I'm looking at.

Gladiator's Right Ripper
Gladiator's Left Ripper

Gladiator's Slicer
Cladiator's Quickblade

I knew ShS was less DPS than combat specs, but I didn't realize it was that big of a hit! Thankfully I read the stickies here and had my rogue in combat swords from day one.
