Raiding Talent SpecsFollow

Now..I'm sure there is a lot of topics about this, but frankly, I cannot find a couple of answers to my questions.

First, I love my talent spec which is 40/21/0. Since my gear is not that great, it gives me the extra mana and spellpower that I think i need. What I have been trying to figure out is, why switch to a 10/48/3 or 2/48/11.

Second, would the rotation be the same for these other builds? i.e. scorchx5 and fireballx7 and arcane missiles when clearcasting procs. Also, what would common versions of these builds be? I've looked everywhere and have been confused on a couple of other things:

Why dragon's breath? I can see how it could be useful in Kara at some times, but other than that i can't see it being useful unless you did some PvP. In addition to all this, I am normally at least 3rd in my raids for damage during kara runs, so i don't see why the 10/48/3 or 2/48/11 are so popular, there must be something that i'm missing.

Again, sorry if this has been posted before, but I have had trouble finding an answer. I am not looking for someone to flame this thread, just some friendly feedback.

Thanks,
Aroo

should be able to answer why they are better. The deeper you go into fire/frost the better it scales with gear, so basically yes, the same rotation is used, although I do not do arcane missiles on proc, I just use a fireball or whatever, doesn't matter much. dragon's breath is great because it gives another good and powerful AoE for raiding, which some fights (solarion, tk trash, rage winterchill, etc) it becomes very handy to do a good amount of damage and disorient to save the tank for a couple seconds.

I Loved Arcane Missiles. But I hated the poor mana usage, always beeing worried that I will go OOM. I couldnt keep up well in longer fights, Romeo and Juliette, Ozz, Curator, etc..
Fortunately fire and red hair go pretty well together >.<

Once again I'm asking things in "wrong" thread but this has mentioned raiding and my question is about that =)

I tried to find answer from old posts and from that Man out of time calculate site. Just couldn't find specific answer. Currently I'm playing with frost mage 69lvl (10/0/50)Armory
And I will spec to fire after some time for raids. Now I will be doing some questing with frost after 70 so I'm asking both rotations to use.

What should be my spell rotation with frost in longer fights (murmur etc)
and what should be my fire spell rotation (after I go for 10/48/3)?

I have been thinking about this for quite a while now and now I think I just need ask people smarter than me. Thanks again for helping beginner in this matter.

frost rotation is: frostbolt, frostbolt, frostbolt, frostbolt, frostbolt, etc

fire (deep fire): scorch til max debuff (5) fireballx7 scorchx1 (to keep debuff up) that is about the gist of it.

Thanks Anobix, that link was useful, I am going to switch to a 2/48/11 and try it out during my next raid, then maybe the 10/48/3.
