Improving my rogue in PvPFollow

Hi guys,

I have played my rogue for a couple of years now but have predominantly focussed on the PvE aspects of her. I am freely admitting that I haven't done a lot of pvp or geared that way for it.

I have a 2v2 with a shadow priest. We are at the moment at a 1450 rating, this is with me in PvE epics and a PvE combat daggers build.

I want to try to do something to boost this rating up. At the moment I have the S2 daggers and some resilience items making an overall 125(ish) resilience. I know that this needs to be boosted up.

What I am after is short term and long term goals that I can meet to improve.

Short term for me would be spec. I am happy to change it to a pvp oriented spec and then pay for the respecs back to pve. As I don't have swords or maces (and yes I understand that they are better for pve), what build would you recommend? I was thinking all the way to shadowstep and the rest in assassination.

Long term would obviously be getting more resilience gear. What I would like are some thoughts on this. Do I:

a) Go for better pvp weapons first. Maces or Swords? or
b) Go for armor resilience.

Pieces that I currently have include:
Venegeful Gladiators Tunic (chest)
General's (wrist)
Timelapse Shard
Vindicator's Band of Triumph

If you think to go for resilience first which items? Should I just bulk up on honor and wait till S2 gear is available via normal honor points? I have been looking at the shadowpanther pvp list.

Personally, from what I've gathered from all the other posts, is to switch to combat maces and get into some PvP gear.

Really, though, whatever seems more reasonable to you right now I s'pose.

With spriest?

44/0/17, IMO.

Heavy poison talents to keep poisons from ticking off/being cleansed, 1.5 min Blind, FF, Imp KS, etc.

Edit to reply to above: I'd actually recommend either shs or mut, and not combat of any form with a spriest.

You're looking for burst, not DPS.

Yeah with spriest. I knew I shouldnt be staying combat. I was swaying towards mut as I am comfortable and familiar with it.

The main reason I was swaying that way was not for dps but for cc. We find that the priest (for obvious reasons) gets targetted first and so its usually good to stunlock one player whilst we take another down.

Thanks for the reply.

Honestly spriest rogue is a very powerful combo if your priest knows how to pillar hump.

If he doesn't, you're pretty much stuck sub-1600.
