Hey, I was just wondering if this talent still affected the soul siphon talent. I've looked around and heard about the 2.3.0 patch getting rid of this talent's ability to trigger other effects, and I keep finding conflicting information.
Can anybody make this clearer for me?

Yes, Shadow Embrace still counts towards Soul Siphon. The problem was that previously, certain spells got extra chances to proc off of Shadow Embrace. I can't think of any off-hand, but I'm sure someone else can.

T4 2pc used to proc off of it.
Crusader card trinket used to as well, was awesome as affliction, cast one DoT and get two stacks of the buff from the trinket.
Oh the good old days.
