Lack Of Hitpoints?Follow

Hi All

I have been recently been trying to upgrade my gear and fun levels by doing heroic instances. I haven't been too exotic and stuck to Ramp,BF and SP. The problem is that I am having trouble getting into groups for these instances; I have had a couple of people say that I don't have enough hit points to do these instances, and declined having me in they're groups.

I thought I had a pretty reasonable amount of stamina and hit points, I'm now wondering whether I am mistaken, what do you guys think? Thanks for your help.

Your HP is fine.

If you start stacking Stam gear, you're going to lack DPS stats.

Besides, HP has nothing to do with instances for rogues.

Just an idea, you might wanna show your hp unbuffed, you have 3 major hp buffs going, it's a little confusing.

10834 - 790 - 1080 - 660 = 8304

It's not that hard to do basic math, Lanlyn.

So you link an armory where you have, fort, commanding shout, and an imp buff totaling 2530 in health buffs, Makes me think you were trying to skew the replys to your post as you must have logged out in an instance while in a group.

But to answer your question 8300 health is about average for a freash 70 not in all PVP/Kara gear. As a rogue you shouldnt be getting hit anyway. All they need to be concerned with is your dps....You appear to have gotten into kara but no drops yet?

Here is a link to my rogue, while we do not have Kara on a real farm status as we dont always get nightbane down I have started collecting badges for the badge rewards as upgrades.
My rogues health is only around 800 higher than your and I am in mostly purples although I do have gear that has more stam on it for fighting Gruul, nightbane, Aran where you cant help but get hit while losing minimal dps I usually sit at 12k + health fully raid buffed without commanding shout.

Seriously though, my rogue is in blues... minus one purple (OH) and I'm sitting over 7k health... (I am working on getting geared). I don't think 8k + health is bad at all

These people you mention can't be serious. You have enough health for T5 content raids. When I was starting Karazhan and heroics, I had 6500 life. Now *that* is something to worry about, not 8300.
Only PvP people carry a lot of stamina, DPS rogues are a lot 'thinner'.
And frankly, I have not had anybody ever ask me about stamina in PuGs, and I do a lot for them. Weird.

Health is important in the sense that, without it, you're going to wipe on the simplest cleave/AoE attacks. However, I wouldn't be worried unless you had under 7000hp at level 70 (from a PvE perspective).

You can get the Veterans boots and belt pretty quick in BGs. That would up your Stamina.

then again, rogues should always be dpsing from behind the mob to avoid cleaves, no?

8300 unbuffed is fine, from a tank's perspective. my guild's top raiding rogue who consistently tops dps meters also consistently rolls with a buffed health of ~10k.

Look up Furtiva

Among other reasons, yes. Which is why I included AoEs in there as well.

Think cave-ins, blast waves, etc.

Thanks guys, I thought that if I added more stamina my dps would start to decrease, I try not to get hit anyway.

Sorry about the buffs, I logged out after another PUG fell apart due to squabbling over loot.

Wait, is it possible they were talking about your hit rating? At 172, most I think, would consider that a bit low, 200 being a minimum target I have seen tossed around. Just a thought, since everyone here seems to think you have plenty of health.

If it's hit rating then yeah I've seen a lot of people saying that you should have a min of 200

200 is a nice target, but don't gimp your other DPS stats just to get there.

Not everyone is as experienced with buffs and stats as the veterans here. ;)

I was basically making the point that it looked a bit odd to ask if his hit points were ok and then have them majorly altered.

1 stamina = 10hp.

It's really not hard to read the tooltips and do some mental math.
