lvl 70 PvP buildFollow

#1 Feb 13 2008 at 1:36 AM Rating: Decent
I've decided to get into PvP more with my lock, to get some of the awesome PvP gear, and I've quickly discovered that my felguard PvE build is useless. My Lock

It seems to me that some hybrid of affliction and destruction is best, but there are so many options I'm not sure what I should go for to be most effective. The felhunter seems to be the PvP demon of choice, so how about these specs?

Option 1

Option 2

What would you change, or what would you recommend? This is for PvP only, BG's and Arena, with absolutely no concern given to PvE.

A good arena build can differ greatly from a good BG build; but for arena I would suggest an SL/SL build would be your best bet.

I recommend something like http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?0520220412201110000002050030133250101531300000000000000000000000

I can see how that would be a good build in arena. I might have to respec to that after I get all my normal BG gear.

How about for BG's?

In BG you will do fine with any spec available; Aff, Demo or Dest.

If you go affliction you will get Dark Pact, which is very nice talent especially in AV and iHoT is pretty neat in all BG's (helping flag carriers and protecting nodes in AB/AV). Also Curse of exhaustion is nice for kiting.

Personally I think affliction is the best for BG's, but really, it is up to the playing style you wish to use. Destruction is maybe the hardest spec to play well, so I probably wouldn't go for it unless you know what you should do (and have some PvP gear with you).

One more thing, don't put more than 1 talent point into shadow embrace, it's just not worth it in PvP.
