I've been 70 for a little while now, and i think i've hit a bit of a crossroads.

I have some questing left to do, i'll get my epic flyer eventually, etc. but i think it's time for me to progress into a little better gear and content. I'd like some pointers and a gear check before i try to find a group for heroics or Karazhan. Through quests, instances, professions, and a little PvP, i've put together what i think is a fairly decent set of gear. At least enough to be well beyond the "fresh 70 in greens" that everyone dreads.

The last "obstacle" is that my guild is just a small group of friends, so i'm going to have to PuG anything for now.
Other than that, is it time for heroics and Kara? I know my hit rating is a concern, and that's where i'll be looking for upgrades when i can.

Your gear looks passable for beginning kara. I might revise the spec a little bit though, try going more of a 41-0-18 +2 with your current gear. I would advise to stay away from demo/destro and destro because those 2 specs require a higher lvl of gear, but I think that the 41-0-18 +2 would work well. Seeing as you are just starting out into your raiding career, I would say to try out some fun stuff, try out different DoT rotations and other things like that. Gear wise, you are fine for beginning kara, your burst dps will be low with your current spec and the spec i offered you, but as you continue to progress into 25-man content, while still having lower-lvl gear, the 41-0-18 +2 will serve you will. Guild: while being in a guild with a bunch of friends is all good and well, you may want to consider joining a new guild just entering kara. Doing the easier heroics would also help your gear. The new badge loot is great, it has a lot of hit and crit and spell damage so that is a good way to head.
