So I'm in a group in Shadow Labyrinth, two druids, Feral and Heal, a Pala DPS, a Warrior and myself first boss down, no wipes .... everything's cool. We pull the first traveler, no problem. And then the first pull just four guys this time. And then we wipe. What? As we're traveling back the Paladin, who hasn't died, says, guys, I'm having dinner, will be back in 10 minutes. Get this, the guy was the LEADER. He marked, pulled away, and the went for dinner, which is why he didn't die. We wait for a few minutes, ask him to make someone else leader so we can at least mark ... to no avail he doesn't show up.

What do you do? Simple. As a hunter you tell everyone to fall back, real back. Then you shoot Concussion shot to the closest foe, misdirection on the having-dinner-paladin, Arcane shot, run a bit further down, then FD. Bingo. I won't be the only one paying for repairs tonight ...

Don't leave in the middle of an instance without a foreword ... at least not when a hunter's around.

Um, yeah.
So, the OP made the best of a bad situation. But you, trollbash, you're just a liability to your group. Deliberately killing another DPS just because they outperform you, and possibly wiping your group in the process? Pull that one a few times and you'll find it very hard to get a group.

You guys don't have a problem with him leaving for ten minutes and making the rest of the group wait? Don't do that to me if you want me to remain in your group.

No, he didn't leave for ten minutes. It was more like 30 mins before he got disconnected ... Remember, he was leader so we couldn't even kick him out and get someone else ...

People leaving half way an instance for "chores" is way too common on my server these days ...

If you don't have the time, don't do the instance.

I agree that leaving a group hang while you are AFK, especially if you're the leader is blatantly crappy. That said though, be careful when you slam a fellow party member if they need to take a few minutes for away-from-game reasons. Certainly a 30-mins meal break is an unreasonable time to make your group wait for you and shows poor planning. Phone calls, bathroom breaks, people at the door, a crying baby, wife, girlfreind or pet are all things that pop up even while in the heat of battle and need to be allowed for. If one of these interruptions calls you away for more than a few minutes, be polite, appologize to your party and have someone else lead. Bow out of the rest of the instance, raid or quest if they will need to replace you. It's just common courtesy.

That is pretty funny, too bad it had to come to that, but still funny.

On a very vague tangent to this, I was in an instance last nite on an alt in RFk. The priest we had as main healer kept bubbling everyone. Tanks kept saying please dont do that, priests answer was that he was kinda bored and kept doing it anyways. It seemed like no big deal at the time, priest was keeping everyone healed just fine, then at one point about 1/2 way in, he suddenly leaves group, fears some mobs into us, and runs away while we all stand around going 'wtf'? and get slaughtered.

The funny things people do when they are bored I guess.

The people go AFK is SSC or TK, we MD pull onto them and then have the tank pick the mobs up when they're dead.

Trollbash: Stop sucking and the spriests won't be outdps'ing you. Besides, you never know when that spriest ends up being one of the officers of a guild you're trying to get into. That's always *my* best friend for vengeance - people who are ******** to either my main or my alt, and then find out I'm one of the guild/raid leaders.

This is one of the reasons hunters have a bad name. It's called being a huntard. You get mad because a different class out dps's you? Then go cry to your mother, dont wipe the group because you cant dps. Learn when to read, and when to talk, and when to think before you type something like that on a forum like this.

From what I have seen the vast majority of the hunters here are quite respectable. By coming here and saying things like that, you dont only make yourself look bad, you cause people who read your posts to lose precious braincells. I feel I have lost 30 seconds of my life typing this up for you, but maybe someone with half a brain thats functioning will read it and find some good in it.
