So, I am tryring to decide between a druid, shaman and hunter. I was originally pulled towards druids because of their amazing abilities in PvP, and ability for do great DPS and fit most roles. But then I thought about hunters, and how sick that DPS could be...but being as I am still not sure of how they are at PvP, I went to check out shamans. Not I am looking at the three trees and thinking about raiding. I would play enhancement if I played a shaman, and was wondering if you could tell me what a good enhancement shaman can offer to a raid situation that other classes could not? (And if they are still any good in pvp?)

Thanks,
John

Why not create one of each and play each until you get them to level 20? Then you can decide which one best suits your playing style?

All three are potentially great at pve and pvp (disclaimer: Shamans are weak in PvP if you do not have good support and skill). Druid is an all around class, meaning they can fill any roll (tank, healer, caster dps, melee dps) in a group. Shaman can do all but tank. Hunter is a great asset to have if the player is skilled (pet can off-tank, traps, good dps). For PvP, Druid and Hunter are probably the best right now, but Resto Shaman is a good class in 5v5 and BGs.

As enhancement, you will be dropping totems for group buffs and dishing out a good portion of dps. May be hard to find spots in 5-mans and 10-mans, but are welcomed in 25-mans. Resto will find a group much easier. I've played every class up to 20, and shaman is by far my favorite, although I have a fondness for my warlock (1st toon).
