Rogues have two stuns, one incapacitate, and one interrupt.

No good rogue specs combat maces for arena anymore.

Warriors can actually stun more than rogues can, as KS is on a 20 sec cooldown, while with PvP gear Intercept is a 15 sec.

Yes, warriors often stunlock me to death...

Again, reduce your medication so that one day you can come back to reality. Perhaps you should stick to what you're good at...posting guides on the rogue forum.

To the guy that posted the wall of text with an amory link at the top, here's your problem:

You don't spec for PvP. You're 41/0/20, and while that's good for PvE, you really can't be serious about doing PvP with that spec. NS is essential to ele PvP.

I don't know what your resilience looks like, but judging from your gear quality, it can't be more than ~300. You're also doing 2v2s with a feral druid of all things, a DPS class that has more issues than DPS shamans do (there are something like ~50 2k+ feral druids in the US, if not the world), and a class that shamans don't synergize well with.

Get a lock or a warrior partner and see how well the comp works for you, if possible.

A lot of arena is your comp and skill. In fact, I'd say 80% of arena is comp/skill related. The other 20% is gear. Running a bad comp and then saying shamans aren't good in PvP is stupid.

Holy $hit, write it down! Theo made a valid point on a shaman forum! I agree, NS is needed for PvP if you plan to play elemental, no question. Also, you should be putting 3 points into elemental shields, it helps a bit to survive. Totemic Mastery should be taken in resto to increase your tremor/grounding range. I'm going to assume he is currently rolling a raid spec and he respecs for pvp.

Uh...you do know you can select defenses on armory to check resilience? In his current gear he is sporting 23 resil, but if he says he has 450+, I'm assuming he has a PvP set.

So...not only are all shaman morons, but they must be running bad comps too? This is your explanation for shaman ******** about PvP deficiencies, you're really reaching man...

my spec is pve atm, i respec for arena's, my spec is generally 40/0/21 for arena's. I have 460ish resil, the druid is a rlf, we rarely play, and yes if i wanted to do somewhat better i would probably run with someone else, but rlf again. If i was serious about playing arena's I would probably have a 5s team.

here is the problem, your opinion is shaman are fine we need to l2p, ours is shaman have some difficulties in arena, but in 5s can progress with a good makeup and are brought along for our ability to buff our team.

These are both opinions you can keep your own and even claim victory if that should make you feel better because everyone wants this thread dead but you just want to win so whatever in my book you win gj seeya later go away...

So...

"To the armoury guy, you suck."

"To the guy who posted a link with solid evidence of Shaman underrepresentation in lower arena brackets.... (whistles)..."

Cheers for the post of the armoury data, it was really helpful, nice to know I'm not going crazy. I didnt realise Hunters were having such a tough time of it, I guess playing a lowbie one doesnt give you much of an idea.

Incidentally, Theo, "Rogues have two stuns etc etc etc" might be true, but regardless if they have one stun or a hundred there is still the phrase 'stunlock', it is still a viable and oft-seen tactic, and Shamans are still ludicrously vulnerable to it. Number of stuns doesnt matter compared to the effect they actually have.

Sins, go play against Duelist+ rated rogues as an equally geared opponent and see how much you get "stunlocked".

Answer: not at all. KS will be used in interrupt casts, or to deal a burst of damage, or to prevent a kite.
