I've fully cleared Kara, no problems surviving or healing that. Now, I'm wondering if I'm ready for Zul Aman or SSC?

I was hoping I could get feedback on what the minimum stats to be considered would be for each of the following raids: ZA, SSC, Hyjal and BT.

in term of stat/gear check the followin info is what i'm lookin for:

(all unbuffed)
health
mana pool
mana regen
+healing

and any other things i may have missed of importance (i.e. resistance gear for particular instances)

thank you?

Whats your armory?

Raids have three general groupings

The first is KZ, Gruul and Mag.
The second is TK and SSC.
The third is BT and Hyjal.

ZA is kind of hard to place, some fights are easy, some are very challenging. I don't think that just because ZA is a 10 man raid it is the next logical move after KZ.

If you are fully geared (not cleared) with KZ you should be ready to do early TK/SSC. You should have just about 1700-1900 plus heal unbuffed. I haven't moved beyond SSC/TK but I'm pretty sure unless you have mostly T5 forget about even setting foot in BT or Hyjal.

Ya i'd like to see an armor too, but basically if you have most to all gear from kara then you should be ready for ssc/tk. Having some loot from gruul and mag would help too.

For ZA, I'd say a minimum of 1800 healing and 200mp5 while casting, unbuffed. That's it you're trying for the timed loot, Hex Lord, and Zul'jin. Early TK/SSC should be around the same. By the time you're ready for Hyjal/BT, you should be running more like 2000 unbuffed and 250mp5 along with the 2pT5 bonus (shoulders + gloves being best imo), and could probably get higher.

For health, it really doesn't matter. You need stam-heavy pieces to switch out on certain fights (Zul'jin, Doomwalker, etc), but it shouldn't be an issue overall (my guild leader and our best healer, until recently, ran around with about 7k fully buffed in TK/SSC). Once you get to Hyjal/BT your health should already by higher, I've heard that you should try to run 9-10k fully buffed but only a handful of fights really *need* the extra stam (Naj'entus, for example).
Your mana pool doesn't matter. As long as you're not equipping +heal greens, it's high enough. Regen is what matters in raids.

For resistance, the third-to-last BT boss requires 295 unbuffed shadow resist, but you can't really get that without already being in BT anywho (crafted gear using drops).

For Bt/hyjal I have around 7700 unbuffed health, full buffed i get to about 9200. This is just fine for most fights in there, but on fights like Naj as you said i throw on 2 peices of glad gear and get to a little over 10k. I'll do this for any fight that damage completely unavoidable. It will hinder my healing slightly but it is worth it to be alive. Fights I use the extra stam on are naj, supremus(since healing is so easy), would love to on bloodboil but i need all the healing and mp5 i can get. In hyjal I use it on rage only cause that is an easy healing fight too. I use my shadow resist cloak and neck on every other fight in hyjal for various reasons on each boss.

All comes down to what each person is comfortable with.

wow thank you for all the responses as they are very informative.

now i notice some people saying 1800 for bare healing minimum?

my armory link is "iheal" on frostwolf alliance (armory down right now?)

anyway, what content should i be attempting to get in? (I still have kara and gruuls on my lists)

you have some good gear. Only thing that really stands out to me is put the golden spellthread on your pants instead of the spell dmg on, can also throw vitality on your boots it's very cheap. You can also get exalted with violet eye(kara)to upgrade that ring. You can also get the neck off gruul or nightbane. Slight upgrades of a wand and trinket from opera event, but that's nothing to stop progression over.

Truthfully there is not much for you from gruul or mag being a holy priest. The ring from the quest item of mag is an upgrade, but you need to fight 25 people for that. I wouldn't replace the crafted gear with the T4 legs, shoulders and chest. Only big upgrade would be the neck peice from gruul.

Your gear is ready to enter ssc/tk if you can find a guild on your server beginning those instances. If they still do mag and gruul even better, not to mention most guilds at that level still do kara.
