Need some adviceFollow

Hey all, I'm a new druid and have been reading the posts here. I am a little confused about what stats I should be looking for for bear and cat forms, respectively. I've seen different posts with different answers. Just looking for what order I should go with for tanking and dps gear. Thanks in advance.

Stamina NEVER hurts for melee.

Agility for cats, STR for bears if you want it the easy way.

Agreed.

Huh? Whatchyutalkinboutwillis?!?

For pure tanking and DPS in a party/dungeon environment, it's
Bear: Stamina (HP), Agility (Dodge/Crit), Strength (AP)
Cat: Agility (AP/Crit), Strength (AP), Stamina (HP)

Outside of group play, the amount of stamina you'll want in your cat gear depends on how much PvP you do. More PvP = More Stamina.

At higher levels you'll be presented with things like +hit, +crit, +dodge, +attack power. Summarized from the hip: Hit gets important when you face higher level mobs. Raw agility is usually better than crit or dodge because it helps you in both areas, but those are still valuable stats (crit for cat and dodge for bear). Generally speaking, attributes like agility and strength are better because they benefit from buffs like Blessing of Kings.

The short answer to this is:

Stamina for tanking (in bear, obviously), and for solo and PVP regardless of form. The only time it's not important is in sets of equipment you'll only use for parties in which you're not the tank (DPS set, healing set). And even then you'll want some.

There is no final answer on the strength vs. agility question. Everyone agrees you need both, but you'll get different answers on which to prioritize. My advice would be to get educated about what each does, then think about how each stat will best fit with how YOU like to play (STR for hitting harder all around, AGI for hitting harder in cat as well as dodge and crit in all forms).

To add my 2c to the pile, my personal preference is agility > strength.
