Epic flight form at last!Follow

I finally got epic flight form this weekend, and I just gotta say it is freakin' AWESOME! This is the best thing Bliz put in the game, imo. Well worth saving up the 5000 G, and H-Seth wasn't difficult at all for a Kara-geared group.

I've always felt that druids are the absolute best class in the game, but now I feel absolutely godly. To top it off, I gathered a couple hundred G worth of herbs just flying around for an hour or so. So if you are put off by the high cost of starting the quest line, I say go for it. I guarantee you will not regret it.

Zalophus, what is it about Droods that you love so much? I am curious because I may be making one soon.

I like that we can do pretty much everything; tank, heal,dps, stealth. I get bored doing the same old thing all the time. Being a druid helps me avoid that. Plus we can turn into a cat, a bear, and a hawk-thing! What's cooler than that?


Yeah, I know. I believe it's the same price everyone else pays to get an epic flying mount. But epic flight form is instant cast, and you can gather without shifting out.

And to Jemac, druids rock because we are the most versatile class in the game. With gear and correct talent points, one can execute the jobs of DPS, tanking, or healing as good or better than their "parent" classes. Resto druids are very hard to kill, druid DPS is highly valued because you can get out of the form, off heal or off tank, or innervate the healer, and back into form to DPS. Druid tanks are pretty good, although you can still get crushed by ?? bosses, whereas pallies and warriors can't.

The flier only costs a few hundred, the Training costs the 5k.

I have been enjoying epic flight to the N'th degree. I didn't want to beg the guild to do the H sethekk run but one day it was the daily Heroic and they needed me :)
For a gatherer this is a godsend. Simply a godsend. While racing the opposing faction to the next node and you see them casting their mount for valuable wasted seconds, you let out a piercing screech and are suddenly flying on your merry way.

rock on druids

Crushes aren't much of an issue. I've tanked Maiden on my Druid, and I got crushed a few times. Didn't matter. Instead of 1.5k damage per hit or whatever, I got like 2.25k for a hit. Big woop. I would've taken more than 2.25k if I didn't block it on my warrior anyway.

27k armor vs 14k armor and all of a sudden, crushes don't seem so bad. It's just 150% damage every so often. I already have crazy damage mitigation and like 50% dodge when I get raid buffed and use my badge of tenacity.

I've had worse luck with warrior tanks on Prince than anything else. Thrash + Parry = no shield block charges and the warrior getting crushed in a much worse situation. Raid buffed and with priest / resto shammy armor buffs on, I shoot over 32k armor, 20k health, 50% dodge, and so on. Prince shouldn't be a problem, if I ever do tank him.

I had the same issue. Once I got a few guildies I spammed for the last 2 members of the group. I included a note something like "Have Druid w key for Extra Boss (chance to drop rare mount!!) and extra badge of justice".

I got to pick and choose between 4 interested players.

Try it on a day when the daily Heroic is there...this helps a lot.

I simply gathered my own pug group and did it, the very next day after I finished my quests. It's not difficult + you can advertise that there is a chance for that rare bird mount and extra badge, people easily go for that.

ditto on the pug. it's not that difficutl when you look at the end boss loot tables. just do /who class according to what epics drops and start whispering away. even better I found a warrior to tank while I popped hots on the birdies. @#$@ easy even with a non prot warrior. we had worse problems with the last boss because of healer skill than anything else.
