My question is will people using SW stats in the same raid really see my correct dmg? And will they see my+my pets dmg or just my own dmg?
If I have selected Merge pet dmg made in my SW stats settings will all other using SW stats get the merged data or do they also have to have that merge pet dmg setting made?

They have to set it to Merge Pets themselves. Personally, I use four out of the five tabs. First tab is with merged pets, damage done in percentage. Second is without merged pets, damage done in percentage. Third is DPS with merged pets, and fourth is damage done in numbers without merged pets.
When we report Swstats in the raid, I show the top 10, and it's fairly accurate. It rarely deviates from other's reports by more than 0.5 %. So I can personally vouch for it's accuracy and usability. I am going to try recount though, since I hear it's even better when it comes to breaking down the raid/group into segments you can truly analyze. As someone said, a mini WWS report.

Recap is even more like WWS... even the same layout. Problem with it is it doesn't sync. I've got Recount atm, and I'm loving it. Shows almost exactly the same values as Recap (somethings not as detailed, but it has features Recap doesn't too...).

The biggest problem with Damage meters is the range that they capture data. Thats why a lot of times, the hunters meters will be different from a melee's meters. Make sure in your options you have the range set to max, but everyone needs to do that for it to be accurate. I know that swstats synch's its data with other members, which is very nice. I currently switched to recount, but i dont know if it synchs or not.
