Hey guys. I have a question about enchantments. Im mainly wondering about weapon enchants. I was wondering what types of enchants are the most useful to a rogue for the MH and OH weapons. And if theres any other key enchants that I should look for for other pieces of armor. Thanks in advance.

Mongoose, mongoose, and mongoose.

Oh, and did I mention mongoose?

At 70, it's the only option.

This isn't 100% true. I will agree for the main hand there is no reason to get anything but mongoose but for the OH +20 agi is an option. One could even make an argument for executioner for MH or OH, so it is a little short sighted to say mongoose is the only enchant.

You can make an argument for whatever you'd like, but the fact is Mongoose is flat-out better.

Unless you have very heavily stacked ArPen (and frankly even then iirc Mongoose wins), Mongoose is superior to Executioner as a Rogue... and you don't get stacked ArPen as a Rogue, so the question is largely moot. 20 AGI is just a weaker version of Mongoose - there's no real question which one is better, one is just cheaper and inferior.

I think Exe MH, 'Goose OH is only better once u hit Tier6, which is only raiding Black Temple etc., because they have ArPen (i think) like Rzip said.

If thats the case fiery should be a nice cheap enchant that will add a decent amount of damage. Though if money is not a problem and your going for a twink enchant +15 agi would be nice. Hope that helps.

I have used Fiery for leveling. It looks cool and adds a decent amount to your DPS.

Would 15 agi be the better choice for when I hit 70 and pull the two Ced's Carvers out of my bank? I figure I wouldn't want to touch Mongoose until I get at least the Kara daggers.

Oh my. I suppose if you must get daggers, spend a few days in AV and get S1 weapons.

Edit: who made me blue?

Not sure if that was directed at me or not, but AV > my computer. I play on a G4 from 1999. I have upgraded the processor, but I only have 640 mb of RAM. I bought a gig online and it was some chipset my comp did not like. PC100/PC133 is hard to come by these days. I went into AV once and my computer about had an aneurysm.

Ha my old computer had the same problem. Maybe you've already tried, but the biggest factor for performance in pvp is spell detail, may wanna turn that down. Even so, do other BGs and the daily and get S1 weapons, they easily last you until T5 content.

Fiery early = cheap additional dmg. On my server it's 25-30g and easy enough to slap onto Thrash Blade and other "I'm going to use this for 10 levels" stuff.

I've seen a number of combat rogues in their 50s+ with Lifesteal, Crusader, Icy, etc (mostly ~300 Enchanter stuff). You'll hold onto your weapons a bit more but not forever. This only makes sense if you are an enchanter or you have a good friend willing to help ya out. Paying for these mats all out is silly. Start saving for your mounts.

By 70 you should be working/grinding for weapons which you will be keeping for a while so going full mongoose or mongoose/agi is common. The math seems to prove that 2-goose is more dps for combat specs.

There are a lot of sword rogues in Shat with duel-goose S1 swords. Proof in the pudding...

....mmmm... pudding.

Go to crucial.com for RAM. 512 MB sticks for G4s are usually around $30 each.

IIRC G4s have four DIMMs so you could technically go up to 2 GB of RAM for ~$120.

I work for Apple and I buy memory from Crucial all the time.

They must not be running a special right now. Cheapest they have right now is $64 for a 512 PC133. 4 of those and might as well bite the bullet and get a G5 off eBay. Thats kinda what I am leaning towards anyway. RAM is cheaper and more readily available, and it also opens up a lot more in the lines of vid cards.

Either that or you could actually get a system that will last you longer than a year.

A Mac Mini is $599, has a 1.83 GHz C2D, 1 GB of RAM, upgradeable to 2 GB.

Or you could get an iMac for $1199 and add another GB of RAM for $23.

You honestly shouldn't get a ****** computer if you want to play games on it.

Rather then start a new thread, I'll ask here.

My Rogue is 49 and will be for awhile so friends can catch up. The weps I have are going to carry me to outlands and I am trying to figure out which enchants to get.

My options are fiery, +15 agi or +7 damage. Which combination of these would give the best overall DPS boost?

Well, since I managed to squeeze almost 9 years out of a 350 MHz G4, I figured I could do the same for a 1.6 GHz G5. This is really the only game I am interested in playing. My wifes 1.33 GHz iBook actually plays it quite nice since I dropped a 1 gig stick in it, so I guess I could use that as my AV machine. Just hook my mouse and keyboard up to it.

If I did get a new machine, I would want a tower that I can expand.

I went fiery for both the Thrash Blade and whatever the other quest sword you get around that level. Both lasted me up to the first outland sword rewards and added about 5% to my damage output. The enchant mats cost no more than 20g compared to much more expensive mats for Lifesteal or Crusader.

Start saving for your epic mount, trust me.
