guildie thinks she is ready to raid, I don't think so given that her AP is low as well as her +hit rating, but please feel free to contradict me

I'd say definitely not ready. With 20% crit and 1kish AP, she's nowhere near ready. Unless she has PVE gear that she's not wearing, She needs to stack more AP to make BM work as a raid spec. I'd aim for at least 1400. Seeing as she's LW, she should look into making some PVE gear for her self.

Tell her to refer to the Pre raid gear list stickied above.

she's about 550 Ap below the pre-raid aiming point.

Also, no enchants whatsoever (besides a few LW patches) and and alsoabout 700 mana below par.
tell her to suck it up and pay a couple hundred gold for new bracers (felstalker will do great), 2 new rings, new trinkets; a meta-gem, replacing her +crit gem by a +hit gem; head, shoulder, chest, cloak, bracer, glove, weapon, leg and boot enchant.
that should make at least a 200-300 AP difference, and then still the pvp gear sucks in the AP department.
So she probably needs to work for some PvE blues too, however strange that might sound.

edit: yes indeed, i am saying that blues > epics here.

She can work on Skyguard and Ogri'la daily quests to fund her gems/enchantments/augments.
#5REDACTED, Posted: Feb 12 2008 at 12:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wow that was exactly what I was telling her, but of course since my main is a pally tank and hunter is an alt, although also at 70 and can out dps her without any enchants/gems....but according to her when she did kara she was at 1300 AP, same crit, and same hp/mana and "did ok".

get WWS and check her dps on bossfights.
My dps (with mostly epic, some blue's) tends to be 675-725 as SV spec, see how (s)he compares to that.

this is me here, if you wish to check my gear

I'll be going up ~0.4% in crit and down 11 Ap soon though, getting agi enchant on bracers but cant find an enchanter who can do it >:(

-.-

I missed this one before I responded to your last one. What business is it of yours to be posting your guild's class leader's armory and asking the forums if they're geared for Kara? Definately a /gkick from me if I were in their position and found out about this. If you're not satisfied that your class leader is up to the task, address it with the guild leadership or /gquit and stop being such a coniving smacktard.

thanks for the input everyone.

I think that a class leader should be someone you look up to and try to emulate in a way. Obviously we both have different views of what a class leader is aureliussir.

and I guess luckily for me we aren't in same guild.

But once again thx everyone for the input and you are all right that first off any stats i get from here or other sites should be looked at as simply "optimum" stats.

Thx also for listening to my rants

Your Guild's Hunter class leader may have her role due to demonstrated loyalty, dedicated participation, and level headed character. As opposed to disloyalty, inconsistency, and drama.

It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a lesser geared player in a higher role in a Guild than someone dripping in Epics. There are a lot of factors to being a valuable member of a Guild, and gear level is not the most important of those things by a long shot.

I find it funny that you feel that this is the place to do it. If you have an issue with the way your guild is running, take it up with the guild leader. Don't talk about them behind their backs.

This forum is to help and enlighten hunters. It's not a place to post someone ELSE'S armory page to get some kind of immature ego boost.

All your posts in this thread show you at 'default'. Doesn't appear as though any rate downs were severe.
