As for pets, use whatever you want.

Being a Night Elf hunte I like hunting in just about any zone that has bushes to stealth in or trees to stand behind (you can shoot through trees, Thanks Blizzard!). Fly overhead, compare your red dots to your hand written list of KOS (Kill On Sight) names or if you're really feeling spunky, guilds. Assess which of the two mid 60 to 70 asshats needs to die first, predict their trajectory, hunker down and get ready.... send your pet on the caster, blow trinkets, kill the clothy before they know whta hits them and then play with the other.

Remember to teabag their corpses until they get a good look and have written their macros with your name on it. After they release you just pick a different tree or bush about 25 yards from the body and hope they pop near you so you can play the camp game. Also watch for red dots hovering out of sight while they are running back, could be friends ready to swoop in and lend help to their 'camped' and failing brethren.

If you're mid-40's I suggest STV.
